Gtfo LeBron. All of a sudden he just blitzes to hole for a dunk for the 1st time with a minute in a half left
Losing Zubac sucks but the reality is that he was traded for Muscala AND another player to be named later. That could be Markief or Melo or Jeremy Lin or anyone better that gets bought out and can take advantage of the extra roster spot. This only works if the Lakers are able to make the playoffs. If they don't then the move loses all its value since none of those new guys should be on the team next year. Which at least means that Zubacs salary for next year is off the books and can be used to sweeten the pot for the big time players.
Just a bad team that is badly coached. Lebron realizes that and won't break his body down until they get another top quality FA in the lineup.
Fire Luke and Lonzo magically gets healed. He also starts playing aggressive and making freethrows and 3's. Which sparks the entire team up to playing to the best of their abilities. Due to buying in on defense and taking their captains lead. Lonzo, not LeBron.
Lebron posts 28/16/10 or something like that. Most empty fucking statline I've ever seen. Fucker dogged it on on defense while missing bunny after bunny on offense, lazily elevating on every layup. I can't even explain the 4th quarter that was terrible, but Lebron was on the court the entire time we went 6 and a half minutes without scoring a field goal. Ingram was 7/11 in the first half and attempted like 3 second half shots. 3.
Well u want to count on LeBron? Lemme tell u what lonzo does. He makes team defense improve exponentially as his teammates buy in to hustling and stunting on D when they know lonzo gonna reward them and get the ball to their perfect spot. Lonzo starting the break gets the whole team involved offensively early which results in chemistry that creates defensive bonds where players play for each other not themselves. We have already seen it happen.
As far as LeBron goes, in the moment his measured play pisses me off, but as Gebbeth said you can clearly see he's saving himself for when the team is truly ready to compete for a title and I really can't blame him. We knew that particular goal wasn't being met this year, but just to now see the goal of making the playoffs hanging in the balance is something different and unexpected. And if they don't make the playoffs we can basically chalk it up to all these fuckin injuries and to a lesser degree Luke's shitty coaching. Obviously, when this team is healthy they have Top 4 in the conference potential, even with Luke's shitty coaching. But with Zo and Hart already out, we then lose Chandler and Muscala as well..so basically just about everybody that can play a lick of defense hits the shelf after not having LeBron for a month. It is what it is. As for Ingram, big picture..it's so hard to watch this kid. 3 times last night he was out in front of the defense in transition and fails to convert the layup/dunk..they lose by 4. We really needed Ben Simmons in that draft. Fuck " the process ". I wish they'd wait and just sign AD, but they'll probably get the trade done this offseason. Not even worried about the Celtics, they're falling apart, I don't see Ainge doing anything significant. He's gonna sit on Tatum. LAL may have to send a couple more 1st round picks, but at least we'll have our even year 1st rounders. Grab AD and sign Kawhi. Zo means a shit ton to this particular group. Do they need him going forward, with the team comp transitioning..maybe not. But to this group, he's Paul McCartney to LeBron's Lennon.
Yeah, I read that but I am a bit perplexed. If MGT is pissed that Demps didn't trade Davis, why didn't they step in to pull the trigger? It doesn't happen often but there have been a few times when ownership has pulled the trigger that MGT would not. If Ownership is pissed that Davis got hurt......well, that is kinda stupid. Seems to me that Pels Ownership could have avoided this mess altogether.
They pissed cause they left Kuz on the table and Lakers took him off for good. They will regret that, we won't.
