The left-hander has been part of eight Spring Trainings, with all but one of the camps coming with an American League team. Last season was Bedard’s first with the Tampa Bay Rays and he appeared in 17 games, including 15 starts. However, his last appearance was out of the bullpen on July 12. He finished the year with 64 strikeouts and 29 walks in 75.2 innings pitched. During his tenure in Tampa Bay, Bedard was released twice. As for his Spring Training track record, the 35 year old (36 on March 5) is a career 11-11 with a 4.83 ERA in 41 games (36 starts).
