    Only consolation was that this near no-no for Yamamoto ended better than the one a year ago. Didn't end on a cheapie. Ball was hammered.

    Wind was definitely taken out of the game's sails on the error. A bit a tricky hop, but no excuses from Mookie afterwards. Ball hit the heel of his glove (almost hit his wrist). An infielder as good as he is doesn't misplay a ball that badly.

    I've run out of words to describe Yamamoto. A lot of old school stone cold killer in that little 5-10, 175 lb body.

    Nice to have our leadoff hitter back. He announced his return in style. I think he broke the ball. Third baseman wasn't bad yesterday, either. Apparently Tucker is the master of the bloop double and not much else.

    Hope Rojas is OK. He seems to get nicked for a time every year. Can't seem to find any updates on him.

    Question.....would you ever root for the opposing pitcher to pitch a no-hitter? Hell no for me. Let him make history against another team.

    I would probably join in an ovation similar to yesterday's in Chicago when Yamamoto left the game. One exception....the Giants, of course.
