Cant say that for sure either considering ive posted numerous HOFers whose home run rates went up in the late stages of their careers
I give up. Bonds would've been that good without roids, so would McGwire, ARod, and Everth Cabrera, and Grandahl.. You win. I guess when the Phillies win WS and used PEDs to get them...it's hypocritical to argue that they helped you. Looking at you Victorino, Werth, Howard, Utley, Ibanez, etc.
Not at all what im saying.I'm saying he was a HOFer before roids and it's possible he would have ended his career on a high note without steroids like aaron, fisk, etc.
you stated yourself bonds was a hall of famer before steroids, mcgwire used a steroid that was considered LEGAL by the government, dont get me started on a-rod bc we'll never really know when hes started roids, and everth cabrera was linked to biogenesis but yet is having his best season AFTER the news breaks and while under a microscope from mlb. I've got to laugh at the second half of your post.victorino on peds? Lmao why bc he didnt hit well for the dodgers? Guess what he's hitting the same way hes did for philly in boston now.werth? He was the benefit of playing in a good hitters park and lineup.if howard was using dont your think he'd have come back quicker from his injuries? Utley? Yea ok.actually, if we're talking users how bout kemp?1 big year and then what? Nothing.... : hide:
LOL, that shit don't work on me bro. Ask anyone. I'm not immune to the fact that many Dodgers have used PEDs, and am not blind to the fact that still might be the case for some of them. Anyway, continue on with your "PEDs don't help on the field theory". The Phillies never cheated...LOL.
I never said never, hell ill be the first to admit the 93 team was loaded with users.dykstra was a key piece in the radomski case, daulton is a HUGE stoner, kruk a stoner, and I firmly believe mitch williams was on SOMETHING lol. Perhaps your can explaim your thoughts on something to me, do your still believe steroids and/or HGH are STILL a problem in baseball? Over/under 40% still use?
Beating the system. The Biogenics scandal kind of proves it. These guys were passing tests(Braun excluded because they caught him), and continued to use.
Biogenesis was used mainly for HGH and not steroids.that's important because mlb just started testing for hgh in season this year, previously it was only in spring training.IMO it was only a matter of time before these players were caught.
Since we're on this topic, I love how Dback fans don't think Gonzo was the obvious roid monkey that he was.
HGH is actually the biggest problem IMO. Even Gagne and LoDuca were using HGH back when. I'm glad the testing is here...hopefully it stops the usage.
The PED/steroid will always be more advanced then the test. They are always improving and advancing steroids/PED's in many different ways. You can't test for something if you don't even know what it is.
I'm telling you, I watched Gonzo and Finley go from speedy leadoff, number two type hitters to middle of the order monsters and there's not one doubt in my mind that they were using a PED...not even a little doubt. I just get mad that so many guys like them got off without even their name being connected to the usage.
Well the test from what I get is that it tests for elevated and artificial testosterone. Wouldn't any steroid type PED have the same final outcome of "elevated and artificial testosterone"? As far as HGH, I really don't know how that works or what exactly it does to the body and what the test looks for.
While that's what everyone says, idk how true that statement is.anything that fucks within your hormones is going to drive your testerone up and that's what they're checking within blood tests
Grimsley at one point said he sold to gonzo but unless im missing it somewhere he's not even mentioned in the mitchell report.interesting if u ask me....
