losing 2/3 giants anytime is annoying but dropping 2/3 to a below .500 team that just happens to be the giants is unacceptable
We didn't just lose, imo. They smacked our best pitchers around pretty well. I don't think much of Paxton, over rated and lucky, imo, but to slam Glastnow and Phillips, etc. like they did was.just very concerning to watch. Their whole lineup tattooed the ball, and rendered the whole staff ineffective. The 14 run outburst was great, albiet freakish, and followed by the all to regular offensive saltpeter, as expected. By a guy I never heard of. I don't know where that gets us in the long picture. Probably where we usually are in the fall. Watching someone else. But the alarm for me is a general overall dimishing of the pitching staff on all levels, our " strong " point, we are told. And by teams that sure aren't supposed to clock the shit out of them.
