Early on, I used to hope for the sweep or at least 2/3 or 3/4 for a series when it started. And it was very plausble that it could be that way, and often was. Now, with the diminished level in all aspects of the game, being outplayed constantly by supposedly " inferior" teams, I hope for one win, so we don't get swept. Doesn't look like presently we can up up with the competition, not nearly. One must adapt to the changing situation...
Another one of those series where we come into it looking like shit and should probably lose 2 of 3 or get swept...so inevitably we will sweep.
Arizona is a very good team. Those bats we're incredible. They're about to go on a run for sure. Not making excuses, but they are a good team
Battle for the two seed in the NL. Lots of baseball left but sure as hell hope the Dodgers can avoid the 3-6 matchup if they don’t end up pissing away the division.

The Heyward injury is going to hopefully get Vargas some more AB's against righties, but they did recall Outman too.
The way he played last season made me like the guy...from not thinking much of him at all previously. And he is a damn good LFer. But he was either burnt out or something negatively going on with him and this break may be a blessing in disguise. Of course, I want to see Outman and the other kids play, I think it imperative for the team overall. To me, it definitely seems the vets can't stay on the field for a full season anymore.
They just said on the telecast that Vargas is finally taking grounders at 3B… fucking finally, what the fuck were you clowns waiting for? Also, he was an infielder first. Why the fuck wasn’t he already taking grounders? a lot of fuckery going on right now
The team has become an offensive and defensive joke. The Padres will be 5 1/2 games out after tonight, and may be in first by the AS game, I wouldn't doubt at all. Nine players who do not play as a cohesive team. Not any more. One guy hits 5 hr in a three game series, and he next night a grand slam. I want to say "what else"? But the Dodgers right now...no problem for them finding ways to get bitch smacked in every way there is. And a couple of ways we probably haven't thought of yet.
LOL @DodgerBlue1958 Dave Roberts gave credit to Andy Pages and Miguel Vargas for having great games tonight. Roberts said Vargas is “earning more opportunities.” He’s getting a day off tomorrow, but he’ll be back in there on Sunday.
