I'm pissed we didn't pull the trigger (no pun intended) on the Chapman trade or sign Miller. Screw Freidman, man. F***.

He's gotta pitch one day. Might as well do it when we could use a little help on the pitching side.

Look, these guys are more resilient than people think. If it doesn't look good, go down to AAA again....then rinse and repeat.

We wouldn't have the 5 out saves of Kenley and who knows what the Reds would have asked of us, ONLY FO knows that fact. Girardi today said he would close already without throwing a pitch, I'm not upsetting the apple cart. The dude today said he did nothing wrong with regards to his wife and his shooting incident which to me is a recipe for disaster. When you don't learn from your past you are doomed to repeat it.

Still maintaining his innocence publicly...police didn't charge him with anything, so why not?
Because of a MLB suspension? Lol
Chapman has free agency coming, he's not about to admit any guilt regarding domestic violence and hurt his market more than he already has.
Not everybody is as dumb as Laremy Tunsil

He's getting counseling the cat is already out of the bag, irregardless of the punishment the shit went down. As for the police remember he is a known celebrity and the police force was local so I suspect they let him off easy. I'm sure you've seen people around you not admit guilt and repeat the behavior, Not a prediction just my personal experience.

His counseling sessions are as a result of MLB's domestic violence program, agreed to when he accepted the 30 game suspension.
The most you can expect from a man heading into free agency is that he should've exercised better judgement and that's what he said in regards to shooting in his garage.
The rest, the accusations that he hit his GF or choked her, couldn't be proven by her or the police, so he's maintaining innocence there.
How he behaves going forward is another thing entirely, I'm just saying you should not expect a man that has a lot of money on the line to open up and admit to assaulting his GF when nobody can prove that he did.

It still looks really bad. I don't want that circus over here. People need to let that ship sail.

6 innings, 81 pitches today. Still not stretching him out.

    4 hits, 3 walks, 4 K's, 0 runs... ERA now at 1.50.

Yes...it's perfectly satisfying dealing with the circus we have now...lol. At .500.
It's a zoo, no matter what, or where, even the Bronx Zoo again, so might as well have the best we can while feeding the animals, imo.
    Too late.

Sure we can use help...for damn sure. And yeah, he has to pitch one day...but it can be too soon, no matter what the inevitability. Or need. Probably be OK.
I thought Puig would he hobbling around on some fucked up hamstrings by now, but happily, I was wrong.
Hope to be wrong about him, too.

It's known that Miller, like O'Day, turned down more money from the Dodgers as he preferred to play on the east coast. I'm in the crowd that's frustrated they didn't get Chapman, but also understand why they didn't do it. The team is currently on a bad PR run in town, and getting a guy like that may have been toxic.

The TV Deal, Chapman would have been more fuel for the angry fire,"they don't care about fans and they like women beaters!"

And aside from the TV deal, domestic violence is a monster all on it's own right now.
Not surprised to see an established ownership group bring him in, ours isn't that yet.

Andrew Miller apparently said that he wanted to be in a playoff like setting year-round and that you could only really get that in NY or Boston.

Yankee Stadium is always empty, Boston only sells out because their stadium is the size of an NBA arena, and all the other teams in the division don't draw crap.
