I think what you said is very logical and makes a lot of sense. But he was born with the last name Buttkiss. Being called Dick was a way better alternative.
Best sports show ever. Huge part in me being a sports fan. Would stay up to watch it so I could know what happened in the leagues. I did not have cable and was a kid so this is all I had, ESPN was a legend I had heard about.
Trailer looks awesome, but means little. The trailer for the Cohen Bros. "Hail Caesar" was better than than movie, it turned out. Whatever, the new one wont have the incredibly beautiful Sean Young (imo), as Dekker's replicant candy girl. But it does have Dekker...
I listen to music and a little sports talk radio to pass the time driving, not politics.... not shit that will piss me off. I'm already aggressive enough behind the wheel and don't need any help! LOL
I listen to Petros and Money. Some find them annoying but I love their satire and laid back approach to sports and pop culture. They do great interviews and Dodger coverage. ESPN 710 takes sports and themsleves way too seriously. It's nauseating how the radio hosts think they're A list celebrities and frequently talk about their salaries and parties they attend. I don't care about the NBA, boxing, rap music, and social justice issues either which is all they talk about. Marcellus Wiley is so so so bad. Max Kellerman was the worst. Puke puke puke.
can't stand petros loud, obnoxious, fat, and worst of all... went to usc kellerman is good only in his environment -- he's very knowledgeable when it comes boxing but other stuff not so much
710's signal is strong enough to carry into the Central Valley. Shame that my only source of LA sports talk is so pathetic. Hosts unfailingly follow the ESPN corporate political line and most just plain don't know the local teams very well. Only one that knows his stuff is John Ireland, the Laker PBP guy and he's saddled with a co-host who's a total moron. They carry the Rams' games, but their Ram coverage is shitty.
Beautifully worded. Baseball Tonight was my favorite show growing up as a kid because I couldn't watch Dodgers games and streaming wasn't really a thing. I'd stay up until 1 or 2 am on the east coast eagerly awaiting the next live update on the Dodgers while enjoying constant baseball discussion. Anytime I turn to ESPN now, I see constant arguing about the same 3-4 topics every day. You can flip to ESPN at any random time of the day and there's a great chance they'll be discussing LeBron, Kaepernick, Lavar Ball, or Aaron Judge. It's sad.
Movies? Things I've liked that came out recently: Hell or High Water, Manchester by the Sea, both new star wars movies (rogue on was the better of the two). I liked Logan and Kong Skull Island. I like the dogs purpose movie too. I also have an incredibly high tolerance for really bad movies too. Anything with Godzilla, James Bond or Superman in it is ok with me.
I agree with you on all you mention, and thought Hell and High Water was flat out a great film. And Casey the real actor in the family.
WTF was all the hoopla over this movie anyway, the fact Matt Damon produced it??? It was like watching a 2 hour long bad Bruce Springsteen song. Next time slit my fucking wrist!!!
