My way too late, horrible, selfish confession

    I don't even know how to say this, it's been bother me at night for a long time. When I started posting with all of you, I was young, very young and simply put: i was acting like I was older. My confession is that at one point in my life, my grandfather passed away and it hurt me. But I was young and very very stupid, i mean stupid beyond belief, and I told you guys it was my father, that he was the poster, and now it was me. Their is no good excuse for it. I had been pretending I was older just cause I thought everyone was older, I saw it wasn't the case, I didn't know how to make a change, I was depressed and so I made up the worst thing I could possibly make up. I had no idea how close I was going to get to all of you, some to the point of meeting you in person. I thought a lot about how to do this and their is no way around it.. I just hated when the conversation about my father would come up and would avoid it cause I had made up something about someone that is fucking disgusting. I admit I have just not been able to sleep some nights, mad and crying at myself for doing this.

    I deeply apologize honestly, I just thought It was long over due to tell all of you guys this. I'm really sorry, especially to those who gave me great words of encouragement, for someone passing away when it was actually my grandfather, not my father. If you want to hate me, cuss at me, never talk to me, get me to leave, I understand. If you think i'm exaggerating, then so be it but well yeah. Maybe this is too personal but ever since I met some of you and have become what I call friends outside of this forum, I knew I shouldn't hold this lie against you guys. Theres no way I can say sorry to erase it, but yeah, sorry for being a stupid little kid.

    damn dude didn't expect this. while this is a pretty stupid thing to do, I can relate because we are the around the same age. I did some really dumb things when I was 15-16 years old.
    don't worry about it, this forum is full of people who have had some rough pasts and haven't exactly been model citizens ;)
    we are all still dodger brothers and we will continue to root for them together . a little lie wont change that

    I understand where you're coming from dude, as I'm one of the youngins on this board too. I started posting when I was in 8th grade. I too used to try and act older than I actually was. I accept your apology Doyer and I'm actually glad that something didn't happen to your dad. I think your being a little too hard on yourself.

    Just to lighten the mood, there was a poster on PSD who told us for a long time that he was a middle aged african american attorney from the south. Everyone believed him too he was pretty well spoken. Turns out he was just some random little white kid.

    But yeah, I wasn't around for that but I'm sure none of the guys here will hold it against you. We all know you well enough to know you're a good guy.

    you know i always wondered about it when it happened. something in the back of mind thought it was a little unusual. but i approach people and situations with an attitude of completely trusting them until they give me a reason not to.
    the fact that you owned up to it and stated so publicly takes more balls than a lot of develop in a lifetime. everyone makes mistakes and embellishes stories. but most hold onto those lies even though its obvious to everyone else they aren't true.
    now you know how those lies can own you. because you clearly have a conscience. living out in the open is much more liberating and i can tell you one thing for sure. only a man knows that.
    btw this was a much bigger thing for you than it is for most of us and i respect your need to be straight. for me it is forgotten.

    This isn't the first time somebody has lied on the internet. Or the last. There's not one person out there that doesn't regret something they did foolishly when they were young or not so young. No worries, doyer. Besides, it's not like you're confessing to being a closet Giant fan. That would be unforgivable. We have lots to look forward to as Dodger fans. That's what you should focus on. Get this behind you where it belongs and let the past stay the past.

    yeah I dont think I was here when this happened but it's all good.
    Everyone at the age of 15-16 did weird things on the internet, myself included. [Posed as a 23 year old black male in chat rooms..okay probably not this weird but nonetheless weird shit]
    Glad you got it off your chest so it doesn't bother you anymore. To me, you're a really good dude. Even gave me Dodger tickets one time. I will never forget :)
    But yeah moral of the story, no need to worry man. that was when you were young and didn't have any personal relationships with any of us. Keep your head up DF :D

    No worries Doyer. You and I often have different outlooks on the Dodgers, and sometimes similar outlooks on the Dodgers. But I think we can both ALWAYS agree we are all brothers.

    From the 19 year olds to the 70 year old. We've all made some mistakes...said stupid things on the board. But it speaks to your character, and everyone on here that they have always stuck around. We all fight sometimes. IBB just called me a pussy no more than 2 days ago. But we're all here. SO many different/clashing personalities. Like a real family.

    There was group of people who were 'tired of this shit'...and left. Which is an insult to us.

    This is an exclusive family. Families fight. But never leave. Stick around.

    I don't have to forgive you because I know you love us.
