Joc Pederson had the flu and was ordered to stay home by the Isotopes, ending speculation he might be called up.

 

Here's some great news for the ChiSox, Abreu will be activated in time to face us. Great story line for the media and interesting to see him and Puig standing next to each other. Kind of sucks for us but it will be exciting.

 

At least we get to miss Chris Sale, who is pitching today for Chicago, although a Kershaw/Sale matchup could have been epic.

...And it's pretty fucking cool to see my boy Cam Bishop at #128, this guy I've went to school with for 10 years now...

...And oh yeah he can pitch, I would die of happiness if we drafted him somewhere in the 3-5 rounds

 

Went to school with Tyler Pill, Mets 3rd round pick of a few years ago or so and Brett Pill's brother, dude was a monster douchebag. I kinda hope he doesn't make it to the show.

 

well I can tell you Cam is not that type of person, he's a very nice and humble dude, very excited for his future

He has that full ride to UCI, which he's probably leaning towards, but it'd still be awesome to draft him

 

Joc Pederson is again out of the Isotopes lineup, probably nothing, but as always we're on high alert.

 

Puig 2.0

 

This was quite funny

 

So a buddy invited me out Saturday night, but I said no to watch the Kings game at home and not with a bunch of people that hate LA teams. Midway through the 3rd period he sends me a picture with the caption, "Oh you know, just hanging with Hanley and Puig". Needless to say I broke the land-speed record from off my couch in basketball shorts to the bars downtown. Missed Puig by a couple minutes, but did get to chill with Hanley as he played shuffle board with a buddy. What they said about Puig is, he's a very weird stand offish guy, but they all chalked it up to him not knowing English, he's also way more jacked than anyone thought he was. Hanley is awesome, very down to earth and surprisingly friendly being very chatty, candid and funny. One friend asked, "how do you like Denver?" in which Hanley replied, "Denver is awesome on the weekends, too quiet during the week (very true in a sense). It's a lot better than Cincinnati, that's where we are going to next, that place always sucks!" They all took pictures before I got there, so I asked Hanley for one and he said "later" which in celebrity terms is a, "no, stop bothering me", but continued to talk to the two of us. After we said our goodbyes Hanley grabbed me and said, "ready for that picture?". So I got my pic with Hanley and learned a lot about a guy that has been labeled a "clubhouse cancer". I didn't know where to post this, but thought it would be fun here.

A couple final details,
- As Hanley was leaving I said, "You think you're really gonna catch Dee?" he laughed really hard and said "I need to get hot first" in which I replied, "you're in Colorado, might as well start tomorrow" High five and he was out, then hit a 470 ft homer yesterday.
- For scale in the picture that I've linked, I'm 6' 200 lbs and workout daily... Hanley dwarfs me
- I wore that shirt in preparation of meeting Puig, I thought it would be really funny.

My friend's pic with Puig is hilarious, everyone is smiling and Puig is pretty much looking at his cell phone. Though I guess he didn't want to be in it and Hanley made him do it, haha.
