I mean, what else is there?

I'd like to see him not get it, but there's no one else. He's pitched well enough that we kinda need him in during this run to the playoffs.

That said, he's looking to pitch in Coors, so he might not make it out of the third inning.

I like Haren in the #5 spot behind CK, ZG, Lester and Ryu.

I'd rather have Shields than Lester or Scherzer. He'd be cheaper and require less of a long-term commitment.

if Greinke opts out and chooses to leave, we might end up needing a #2 and i'd feel better about Lester or Scherzer. Shields is good, but not that good. i'm sure they'll get a feel for what Greinke wants to do ahead of time tho. i'll say this..they offered 120M to Tanaka, so they're not thinking cheap.

Shoot yeah I forgot about Greinke opting out. I just don't want to get into a situation like our outfield.

Shields costs a pick. Lester won't.

i know that's right. Lester has so much post season experience..i'd feel good about him going in a Game 1 for us. but then you could also say that maybe Lester has less bullets left because he's pitched deep into October so many times. Scherzer may have more left. i think both are 30 years old..as is Greinke i believe. either way, from a pure stuff standpoint you gotta like all of them ( even Shields ) over Ryu.

This is how little some other cities and sports writers know about us and the flat out lack of reality they suffer from. This was five days ago

Elvis Andrus? The overrated short stop that can't hit with a bad contract?

They (these BB hacks) must have been reading DSP.
I think I remember every silly thing they wrote was here first.
Should be interesting to see who gets Lester, Scherzer, Shields and of course the grand prize, Giancarlo. We are making lineups with them in it already.
Pactum factum...I hope it all doesn't wind up like the Tanaka thing did... he had a locker with his name on it ready for him, didn't he?

This is a different Dodger team and organization to attract Free Agents compared to other Dodger teams. Lots of folks would like this offense backing them up along with a strong front office commitment moving forward .

May not be the worse thing. Watson is good but Kasten has a lot of cooections and pull to draw top tier reorganization replacements. Watson was great at telling Ned who to trade away and who not. Unfortunately he can help Stewart pick our minors clean.
