There’s video of Betts in “camp” working out. So it’s safe to say he’s in.

 

Betts has supposedly been one of the guys that has had to talk other players out of NOT showing up. There is a real chance that the Dodgers have the highest numbers of no shows this year. I have not seen or heard anything about Seager, Pollock has not shown yet, I guess Joc has not as well(?) and Jansen is a no show so far. The club had 51 on their initial roster which from what I could tell was significantly lower than any other team so to me that was the FO preparing to have to potentially load up at certain positions in the event more players bailed.

 

Wow...that's...IDK, actually.
Surprising ? Depressing ?
I can understand Pollock though, with his underlying, chronic/ acute conditions...
He sucks.
Puts us all at risk. He should be practicing social distancing...like on Easter Island.
Even if it all "disappears", as our POTUS tells us.

They had masks on tho? IDK you can’t really trust anything these days but the masks would indicate it was new footy.

 

Pollock just had a baby who was born 2.5 months premature.

 

Fun fact: Joc has never shared a pizza.

 

Jimmy Nelson is done for the year after back surgery... So if I am not mistaken, the roster is back to 51 as they added an MiLB'er the other day on top of AJ Ramos. Not ideal that starting pitching is taking such a hit, but May and Gray could be parts of the rotation late in the season.

 

• A lot of players are coming out and saying that they think the season will or should be fully cancelled. There has been a hiccup in testing for some clubs.

• Gavin Lux and Pedro Baez have not shown up yet. Roberts would not say why they are out. Lux had been very active on social media until recently, so it would not be a shock if he has the virus.

 

I was wondering how they were going to balance out home and away games vs each opponent, and I see they just didn't. A wonky schedule for sure. Only one trip to Coors, that's a good thing. And man, it feels like we should crush this schedule.

 

Joc is definitely at camp as he hit a bomb last night during the intrasquad game. It was brought up that the empty stadiums could make things a bit more fun as the trash talking is going to be able to be heard. This was an exchange from his AB last night:

Someone in the OF: "Easy Out!"
Joc hits HR on next pitch and yells at the person: "There you go, Bopper. Go get it!"
