Knowing Manfred, he's pushing for the WS to be in Houston. Also, does he know how far apart Arlington and Houston are? Sure, they are both in Texas, but if you are willing to travel 4 hours in between stadiums then there are all kinds of inter-state "bubbles" you can create. And also, if these guys are going to ride together on a 4-hour bus ride, why not just fly? The teams all charter airplanes anyway. Is there even a point to these bubbles?

Can't have 3 guys only going 4 fucking innings every night. Need to make a move for the rotation. The fact that the club came away unimpressed with Wood the other night is a really bad sign. Seems like the Velo spike he had in the offseason and into ST is gone.

Lets also not forget that one of these stadiums is a gimmick stadium(Houston) that would be a detriment to certain teams that build their rosters for their home field. We for example would be at a HUGE disadvantage with our lefty heavy lineup in the joke of a stadium. Fuck Manfred.

I just don't get it, if you want to do a bubble, then do an actual bubble. Phoenix. Done. There is good weather, no hurricanes, a shit ton of stadiums for the first two rounds, plus a major league park with a retractable roof for the LCS's and WS. Chase isn't my favorite park, but the city checks all the boxes. Chase is a hitter-friendly park too, so Manfred can get that extra O he craves.

Otherwise, just let teams have their HFA.

It's amazing to me if they are actually considering Houston as a bubble site with everything that went on this offseason. It just signifies how out of touch MLB is if true. There would need to be an EXTREMELY compelling reason to include Houston as a bubble site this year, and being 4 hours from the another major league park just isn't it. October is also the end of hurricane season in Houston, it would sure be dumb to have a series postponed due to a hurricane when the games could have literally been played anywhere else.

Yup, you nailed it. Playoff bubble should be AZ. Fuck, if they want a H/A park for the AL and NL, move the WS to LA and have the teams stay somewhere between Anaheim and DS. Seems like a good option.

You just described my house! I'm not sure if I can host a whole team, but I can probably squeeze the Yankees outfield into my guest room.

The rumors this morning make it sound like the Dodgers are very much in talks with the Rangers for Lynn. Them and everyone else from the sound of it. It's hard not to be impressed by his numbers this year, and the more I look into it the more legit he looks.

Wood's had his moments, but his career is one of inconsistency and injury. That's not what they need in a #3 starter.

Lynn would a definite improvement, but I'd like to see a bold move for Clevinger. A move for the present and the future.

FWIW, Lynn is signed through next year, at $9m.

I saw one report that said an insider doesn't think Clevinger's would fit in the Dodgers clubhouse. That said, it's pretty clear the Dodgers were going after Clevinger in the offseason, and Mookie is the only big change to the clubhouse since then, so I'm not sure how credible the report is. The report also didn't say what specifically would make him a bad fit, but we do know that Clevinger is very outspoken and he has a bit of a "Pig Pen" vibe.

I don’t know all of what a bubble consists of, but most increased measures to avoid COVID could still be taken with travel. Like is it much different if these guys are on a bus together for 4 hours or on a plane together for 5 hours? For a sport like baseball where knowing your field can be an advantage, and where the ballparks themselves are characters in the eyes of the fans - it’s worth asking if the cost is worth the gain.

Travel could be reduced without a neutral field. You could play all games at the higher seed’s stadium (which could offset some of the HFA lost by not having fans), or you could break up series 2-3 and 3-4.

Any team would give up good prospects to get Clevinger. Guys like Taylor and Barnes have little value to a team like Cleveland. I think a trade would have to start with Ruiz type bat and a Gosling.

In other works, Justin Turner may not like him. Lol. I'm pretty sure most of the guys would be ok. Kershaw is too established to feel it. Beuheler is a hot dog himself and could use someone pushing him.
Hell. It's socal. Grow your hair and throw 96. Wins fix sins.

Even though his value is slightly diminished with the slow start, I think Joc would have value in Cleveland.

It's not like JT, May or Gonsolin are Steve Garvey look alikes.

JT might be hosting a homeless family in that chin growth.

    No thanks. Doesn't throw strikes.

OK as a starter, not the pen.
