    #Dodgers Shohei Ohtani has gone 0 for 4 today. Has just 4 hits in his past 33 at-bats and only 1 HR in his past 102 plate appearances.​

    not sure how everyone else feels
    shohei the pitcher is incredible, no doubt
    but i’ll take perennial mvp candidate shohei the hitter in the lineup every day over potential cy young winner shohei once/twice a week

    I'm in NY for a work thing and there's a reception tonight that includes a "conversation" with Theo Epstein. Will be interesting to get his take on the Red Sox' recent moves. Even though he wasn't there for the Betts trade, he is now part of the ownership group trading Devers, acquiring May, etc, and generally going in the wrong direction.

    Other than the reduced foul territory and the insane amount of advertising we have now, the stadium looks exactly the same. Pretty cool.

    Dodgers acquire Alek Thomas in a trade with the Diamondbacks. Arizona DFA'd Thomas on Friday.

    The Dodgers trade for OF Alek Thomas is official. He brings plus-defense in CF and plus-speed, but has struggled with his bat (career .634 OPS). Thomas will report to the Arizona Complex League where he'll likely work with the team's coaches on his swing.

    Alex Freeland has 2 hits today for AAA OKC, and a walk. Not gonna lie, it's REALLY tough seeing him in an OKC uniform again. I hoped I'd never have to, but it is what it is, and Alex just needs to control what he can control. Very cliche, I understand, and I didn't mean that as a criticism of the decision-making, just that getting sent back down sucks really badly. Keep grindin', Alex, you'll be back shortly.
