So... Don't know about you guys, but I've essentially lived in the same town for 33 years, and the last three years weather patterns are just so fucking foreign to me. Our climate is totally different and has very little predictability. There was a time first thing in the morning, when I could tell you exactly what was going to happen weather wise. Not a chance anymore. My town has a large river running through it, it had broken its banks twice in my entire life. Last year out of nowhere, we had the largest recorded flood ever. Instead of days to prepare, we had about five hours warning. I'm told it's going to become more frequent.

What I'm saying is, it was fun denying the fact that we were fucking up the Earth, (emphasis on WE) for the past decade or so, despite overwhelming evidence. But the time has come for us to suffer the consequences. last year was the hottest year globally ever. As a race, we are incredibly retarded despite the fact that we evolved so smart. I live in one of the mildest climates in the world, in a first class country. I've got it easy and it still sucks. I would hate to live in a place with already existing extremities, because they're going to get fucked up.

globe heats up and cools down, we have had many ice ages and hot ages
those way north of the equator will feel any changes more violently
the closer you are to the center the less climate change affects you
the only reason climate change is a big deal to our world is because our wealth is all tied up in the northern hemisphere
black and brown people arent as affected by climate change
for white people its going to be the end of the world in a literal sense

You are crazy rube. Ask the people who are starving in Somalia if it doesn't affect them. The eastern sub saharan Africa countries that already have water and food shortages will be devastated, as will any tropical island nation, equatorial or not.

IDK if Rube is being racist at all...it may read like it, but I believe he is talking about geographical dispursement of certain races. The African starvation events have been gping on for decade upon decades and has zero to do with global warming in that case.As Sam Kinison ranted " it's where the fucking desert is"!
I believe scientifically, he is absolutely right when he states that those north of the equator will feel any change in weather way more than those proximate to the equator. That's the way it is, and always has been ( in our age anyway). And the money is largely located there. The industrial revolution and all that...
There was a time, during Roman superiority, the best wine in the world, came from England.
    Things change.

BG...you got it buddy... Taking your meds like a big boy is all that separates us sometimes..

But I HAD to stop and post this because the tone of your reply was PERFECT. Funny as shit too.

Glad the DSP crew (read Shaw and Mousey) offered what little was possible for your situation. In my world I ALWAYS suck up to a ticketing officer and say Yes Sir etc.. it doesn't always help but every once in a while it comes in handy. Just like telling a cop that "I gotta explain this to my chapped ass old man who is a retired cop from (anywhere out of range)" so tell me what I should have done different. Telling them your old man is a retired cop almost always brings a smile, even if it's because they think that you're going to get your ass chewed a second time. And sometimes they just shut the ticket book and tell you to drive slower. It's worked before.

...back to the hilarious rants on political correctness, dog breeds and all things snow...

    Yup
History changes like the cycles of the climate or the religion of the hindus
i dont blame folks for not understanding, that is how its supposed to be
the world changes all the time as does humanity itself

now about people starving and dying in africa that all of a sudden people care about
they know how to ride out climate disasters better than we do
they know how to survive better than we do
they have less stuff to lose than we do
if we lose our stuff we lose our shit
because we 'americans' are a society built on our stuff
this is my stuff go get your own stuff but leave my stuff alone... kind of people
so when we lose our stuff we will die
    we will lose hope
    without hope you are dead
the first death before the second death
the first death makes the second death permanent
if there is no first death then when the second death comes it will actually be the first death
and you will have another life to go
    1up
