I brought both Not Taco Bell Material & In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks to the show. Unfortunately Adam didn't come out afterwards to have a drink & sign books. That has always been his modus operandi. But not last night. He was extremely funny but I could tell he was very tired and might even be coming down with something. Adam is great and I've been following him for a long time. I figured I'd bring the books and see what happened, but more than anything, I was curious if he had refined his stand-up act. The answer is he absolutely has. He is night and day better than he was 5-10 years ago. But he also resorts a lot more to bits and routines that he's regurgitated over the last decade. That's fine because that is the meat and potatoes of comedy. Has someone who dabbled in trying to write it 30 years ago with a comedian who is still working the circuit, it's about the grind and working the stage and working on your act. I highly recommend the guy because he isn't towing the woke nonsense around like an anchor. Likewise the two openers echoed much of his mindset, so he clearly gives other people a shot that are in the same mindset of free speech as he is. The MC opener was ok but nothing special ... but holy hell, the showcase comic was nails. His name is Trixx. Highly recommend... guy killed the room. Really funny. Anyway ... Carolla was worth the trip. See him if you're able. But I'm getting too old for this shit in general. $15 for a sweet, shitty old fashion made with 80 proof bourbon? GTFOOH ... Make it with bonded bourbon and back off on the sugar, man. But that's in part because the 'bartenders' are smoking hot 22 yr-old girls, not real bartenders. Horny idiots think her looks make her a bartender. Uh... no. Just because she can such chrome off a trailer hitch doesn't mean she can craft a cocktail.

Towards the end, one of the last reasons I would attend Sacramento Kings games (which are local to me) was because a buddy has floor seats, and I'd get to watch the lovely ladies do their thing just mere feet away from me. It was splendid. But suddenly, the Kings went all woke and decided to do away with the cheerleaders and replace them with a dance team - and let me tell you, the half that weren't men might as well have been, because there was nothing hot about them. Not exaggerating... one woman dancer was pushing 200 and had a bald spot on her dome. I had to either leave my seat or just study my phone when they were on.
