    well i was there at 530am and saw guys swigging bottles of tequila by 630am so that doesn't really surprise me much
    didn't see any overly intoxicated folks tbh but i guess that's relative to what my levels were since i do recall screaming off the 170 overpass at LA ave
    still that's no excuse and what a massively dick move if true

    To deal with that absolutely vaudevillian, demeaning " shuffle" bullshit each AB will be trying, for me anyway, but I guess going after one of the best hitters in bb makes sense, you can't argue.
    I could never embrace him ( I don't think !), but a little dynasty would be sweet, even if it were to only result in NOT being tied with the SFags in WS wins. He'd help, I'm pretty sure.
    I can't believe Teo interest seems to be fading already...head scratching.

    cmon guys
    any "interest" in soto is to drive up the price for other teams and keep the Teo price tag reasonable
    no way you build a team like this and bring in the soto distractions
    leave him in NY

    Absolutely. I don't know if all the potentially disastrous scenarios that he avoided deftly this past season will ever happen again for him..and he did have best of teams multiple times in the past and was simply a recurring failure. BUT....
    Maybe it's part of him now, and his previous failures were the price we all paid for him finally making the adept moves he did this year.
    Maybe, too, if you wind up a champion, people forget the weak, milquetoast years and only spout the victories. Perhaps that's the " glory of sport"...
    Unlike life, where human nature seems unable to forget the mistakes you made, and is always ready to remind you of them.
    I think, in that way, baseball is not like life at all.
    Just my tuppence.
