    Well Kenley missed twice right down the middle while Barnes was set up high in the zone. First one was fouled off, second was lined for a double. Davey is still playing with fire. Of course, he'll see this win as validation that Kenley should still be closing, so in the long run, we're fucked.

    Another stellar effort from the pen, including a nice bob n weave job by Jackson. Probably the only team he could get with that kind of performance is Pittsburgh. Showed a nice changeup, though.

    It's the Dodger MO to be feast or famine at the plate, but getting in from NY at 5 am on game day is a pretty good excuse.

    Jackson looked pretty savvy out there, even with the command problems...very polished for the first time out.
    There's a lot to like in that kid...he gots da po ten shul.

    I hate that an August series against the Pirates is so important, but if the team still has aspirations of another division title, a sweep of these three games is imperative. I hope Davey's liberal granting of rest days doesn't backfire.
