When I was in my early 20's i took a trip out there for a friends wedding and had to hitchhike to get all the way there.
He is all tatted out like a gangster as he grew up down here but was taken to portland when he was about 15 because his mom was afraid he would get into trouble hanging out with the poorer kids he knew.
When I went up there a few years later for his wedding he was telling me how Portland was scary and dangerous.
I got dropped off at the outskirts of town by a trucker driving onions somewhere and had to walk to the greyhound station in the city at 2 am.
It was more peaceful than walking through my little towns of Azusa or Whittier where I grew up.
People mean its dangerous because its the only place in oregon that you see more than a couple of black people at the same time.
And those people up there are racist as fuck no matter how well they pretend to hide it.
Mankind was not made to live where it rains and is gloomy all the time.
That turns men into psychopaths and women who grow facial hair but have clean shaven balls and pierced dicks.
Or the other way around.

Portland is not as bad as you think.
They just don't have any men with balls over there.
