Hadn't heard that people were firing on LE but if that's happening then LE would be justified in returning lethal fire and I doubt they would have any qualms in doing so.

The ones throwing bricks need to be taken down non lethally and disappear for a while. They'll get their day in court but with red tape and all let it drag out for months. It's easy to be brave and toss a rock when all your buddies are doing so but far more difficult when they start getting hauled away en masse.

And I know there are due process laws that restrict the amount of time that a criminal can be held, but there have to be special provisions for crimes against LE and military. Sorry to those that disagree with this, but I will always side with first responders and members of the military. Who's going to be there for me when I need help, the foreign flag wavers? I don't think so.
