My point is about the broader reaction you see every time a narrative wants to be pushed.
Outrage spikes depending on the conflict, the politics around it, and the narrative people want to push.
The pattern exists whether people like hearing it or not.
We, humans, do not actually care about every civilian in every war or every human experiencing any tragedy.
It sounds nice but it is not real.
Our empathy does not work like that. If it did, people would be equally focused on every conflict and every tragedy happening now and always.
We aren't.
That doesn't make us evil or less human, we just have limits since we are human.
Our military is not blindly following the instructions of AI. AI is undoubtedly a huge part of the calculus but it is not at a point where it is king.
