I think these guys have the right idea... No violence, fly dance moves, & all combos of the middle finger .... https://x.com/ghetto_gronk/status/2105820702775386141 I proffer this - all future political debates should mimic this approach. Talk about must-see TV.
I'm a pretty hardcore proponent of capital punishment, in cases where there is zero doubt as to who committed the murder. So this Christa Pike was supposed to be executed in Tennessee a few days ago, but the State botched the lethal injection. Now she's in critical care and they're trying to nurse her back to where she can live the rest of her life, happily in incarceration. Her attorney argues that she's suffered enough with the failed attempt, and it would be inhumane to schedule any future execution. I'm sorry, but whatever suffering she experienced while in a coma (or at least in heavy sleep) pales in comparison to what her tortured victim went through over 30 years ago. And this is going to sound harsh, but while the injection was clearly not working, why not just strap a mask over her mouth and give her lethal gas? There should always be a plan B at arm's length for contingencies. I just finished reading a book called "The Boy Next Door." It chronicles the killing spree of serial killer Jon Dunkle, who murdered three boys in California in the 80's for pure enjoyment and attempted to kill others. I'm not going to go into details right now, but suffice it to say that as a young teen there is a very good chance that I crossed paths with Dunkle. It is beyond eerie to me how many parallels there are between my life and his movements. Dunkle is on death row, but because this is California, he will get to live out the rest of his life on our tax dollars. So will Richard Allen Davis, Charles Ng, and many others. You know who didn't get to live out their lives? Polly Klaus, Dunkle's three victims, and Ng's 11 victims. Where's the humanity in that?
that's crazy you feel like you crossed paths. my family lived down the street from the Walts family. brother Mark went into the wpp because he testified about his brother who was murdered by the manson family and left in Topanga canyon. Paul was older than us but cool af and helped us build/dig out forts in the fields. weird when its close. they were mentioned in the old copies of Helter Skelter but it seems time makes things blurry. i remember big time. fuck charles manson. the whole death penalty thing is murkier. sure costs a lot to get even if we ever do. w this Pike situation i think its likely an advocate against the death penalty was somewhere in the machine and intentionally fucked it up. how hard is it to make sure a lethal injection is administered? but once it doesn't go as planned well then of course the whole process is a failure/racist whatever and should be done away with. i'm thinking sabotage if they ever look close enough. just too convenient when this type of impossibility occurs in such a high profile case. but yeah there should definitely be a back up even if that's a guy splattering her brains w a sawed off. fuck people who murder. once that line has been crossed you give up your right to breath the same air as the rest of us. either way this will come out as a massive indictment on the process itself.
I am with you in spirit. I'm not a vocal CapPun advocate but I'm averse to it because the legal profession has turned it into a cottage industry & a political football. I wouldn't fight it if Randy Kraft & Edmund Kemper & all those evil fucks. If we don't execute "no doubt" murderers & rapists swiftly, then bring back dungeons, and mean it. Dig down with Musk's boring machines, and pay top dollar to illegals who want to be citizens to build them. Hundreds of feet below ground, limited light, no recreation, no outside communication of any kind. Like France's Bridge of Sighs, let the dungeon gates give them their final view of sky, sun, and life on earth as they descend into The Inferno. If they get sick, tough shit. Die slowly & in agony. I dgaf. My issue with the Constitution has always been the "cruel & unusual" bit. Cruelty is subjective, as is unusuality. I see no issue with a miserable, lingering, unholy death in a km deep dungeon with cold Top Ramen 3X a fucking day. And as usual ... there are lots of reasons that folks think I'm unhinged...
Does France have a Bridge of Sighs too? I've seen the one in Venice. But I'm on board with the dungeon idea. Make it so criminals of that caliber really have something to lose. And give them two chances to opt for a cyanide pill. One right before they descend, and one six months in.
Nidal Hassan to leave the face of the Earth. Good riddance you motherfucking pos. enjoy your virgins https://x.com/SeanParnellASW/status/2107252342097637558?s=20
I get that mid-terms for over 100 years always swing to the party out of power, but I'm not down with that this time. I see a man in DT who is doing everything he can with the limited power of the executive branch to help this country. But 96% negative press and a culture fractured into so many niche groups who spend hours listening to podcasters pontificate over tertiary issues makes it tough to rally together as a country. Some positives: - Poverty rate has fallen to an all-time low. - Median household income at an all-time high. - Wage growth is outpacing inflation, albeit narrowly. - Atlanta Fed projects third quarter GDP growth around 5%. - Dow is up 8.1% and the S&P 500 is up 13.5%. - 1 million+ private-sector jobs since January 2025, while the federal workforce fell to its lowest level since the 1960s. - Trump tax cuts that were set to expire were preserved, which doubled the standard deduction and increased child tax credits. - Auto-enrollment of Tax-deferred investment accounts that start with $1,000 for babies born from 2025 through 2028. Employers can contribute $5k per year. - Most-favored-nation pricing is now in Medicaid in all 50 states. - Patients have saved nearly $1B through TrumpRx, seniors without GLP-1 coverage can get obesity drugs for $50 a month, and Medicaid has received a million free prescriptions of Eliquis. - Largest one-year drop in the violent-crime rate since estimates began in 1936, with the murder rate down 18%. Robbery and theft the same. - 16 straight months without releasing anyone apprehended at the border into the United States (catch and release is gone!). - Border apprehensions in August 2026 were 94-percent below Biden's monthly average. - Net negative migration for the first time in history, with 3 million illegals leaving. - We were 1 vote away from ending birthright citizenship for illegals. - RFK replaced a literal trannie. Food pyramid was flipped and HHS says 27 of the largest food companies have announced they will drop synthetic dyes, and 38 states have moved to restrict them in public programs. - JD's task force and DOGE is exposing and stopping fraud, waste, and abuse. - USAID gutted so no more taxpayer money is going to foreign governments and NGOs whose programs were not aligned with U.S. policy. USA friendly governments rising in South America. - SNAP enrollment has declined 16 straight months. $6.1M off food stamps. - Every federal DEI program ended and the Pentagon’s DEI offices have been abolished. - Trump rescinded Biden's alterations to title 9, so not to allow biological men to play in women's sports. - Large share of hospitals doing sex change surgeries on minors have stopped due to because we are cutting funding by EO. - Executive Order 14184 offered reinstatement to anyone discharged solely for refusing the COVID vaccine, at their old rank, with back pay. - Maduro is out of Caracas. - The Chinese port operator is out of both ends of the Panama Canal. - Washington now controls 65 billion of Venezuela’s 303 billion barrels. - The U.S. is the largest oil producer and the largest producer and exporter of natural gas in history, and output is still rising. - Permanent U.S. military presence in Greenland, two new defense sites, and a veto on any Russian or Chinese base. - The Ayatollah is dead, the Iranian Navy is under the sea, and they are blockaded from selling oil. - Going back to the first term, Soleimani was killed, sanctions were re-imposed, and the IRCG was designated a foreign terrorist organization. Would some of these things have happened if a Democrat was president? We'll never know. It's possible. But when it comes to taxes, crime, immigration, and foreign policy victories in our own hemisphere, I'm thinking ABSOULTEY NOT. I agree with Elon. In an interview with the economist a month or two ago, he said he thought the administration was "excellent" and when pressed further, he said "I won't agree with 100-percent of what any administration does, but this is vastly superior to the alternative". Perfection cannot be the standard, and he is satisfied enough to continue funding the Republicans. Hope we can buck the historical trend and avoid 2 years of obstruction, sabotage, and impeachments. Oh, and letting socialism in the door.
This is not to ignore the gas and diesel prices. It is demoralizing. Hopefully it will be in the rear view mirror soon. The military has done a brilliant job clearing out the strait and escorting ships through (we are at pre-war flows), but the cost of freight is still crazy because the risk of Iranian strikes. Even if Iran misses most of its targets, it only needs to hit a few ships every week in order to keep insurance premiums (and freight cost) sky high. In speaking with Grok, the most comparable situation is the tanker wars in the 1980s: "The 1980s tanker war is the useful comparison. Iran and Iraq hit neutral ships for years, the U.S. escorted tankers, attacks did not stop, and the oil price still came down because the barrels kept moving. This looks like that. Partner crude is already getting through the Strait of Hormuz under Navy escort without a deal Iran has to honor, while insurance and diesel stay expensive because ships are still being hit. If the escorts keep completing and the hits get rarer, freight and then pump prices should ease over the coming months even if Tehran never becomes reliable. A signed deal is not required, and a signed deal did not hold in June." History will judge whether this was necessary or a success. It's impossible to know right now. If there was 400kg of 60% enriched uranium (enough to make 11 nuclear weapons I've read), maybe it was time to stop kicking the can down the road. But Iran is not "winning" like the corporate media likes to say. Their navy is at the bottom of the ocean, their airforce is gone, and they are blocked from exporting oil. If the tanker war is any indication, we can normalize prices without reaching any sort of BS agreement. I don't know how it will turn out, but I am praying and rooting for us. Also, how about dems stop shutting down refineries and taxing gas?
