    isn't the rule that the catcher can't block the plate like that?
    shouldn't the runner be safe or something?

    It's fucking maddening, isn't it? As you wrote, why even have rules or replay if they are not going to enforce it. Kemp was totally not at fault...where the fuck is he supposed to go with that fop right in his way? It was a terrible send by the 3b coach, but if you position yourselt like the catcher did , you deserve to get plowed.
    The umpiring incompetence is swelling to intolerable levels...the guy in charge of them hasn't done shit to improve a thing, either.
