    I get the disagreement. And care so very little.

    My point is the same as taught by EVERY little league coach, high school coach, college coach and anyone worth their salt... Good luck comes from hard work. Slackers always cause issues for the team. Always. A slacker's casual 'not give a shit' attitude causes cancer in the clubhouse. Even in Little League. I guess no one here ever had an 'old school' coach nor has anyone here ever coached ball at all based upon these arguments. Bunch of DSP slackers..

    Matt Kemp had the opportunity to learn the value of hustle when he hurt himself by slacking off and apparently he learned little to nothing. Nor did any of his overly apologist DSP fans.

    I get the adoration of his hitting .335 but we all know that won't last with his level of effort.
    I agree with being thankful that he's carrying his weight at this time. I am,
    which is entirely different than claiming his abysmal daily effort makes no difference in his WAR (as if I give a shit about that too)

    To your final point, take note, that is how much or how little you should heed analytics. Bear that in mind during the next frothy stats convo.

    IDK man, I feel you're focusing way too much on that play when it seems obvious he wasn't being lazy, but has clearly lost a step from his best days, and is just a lot slower than usual. He's been playing his ass off.

    There was no lack of effort from Kemp imo. None whatsoever.
    In fact his speed, for a guy his age and injuries is about as good as it gets.
    Shouldn't have been sent at all...Woodward is a clown.
    But it was Kemp's all out effort, considering what he was given by that douchebag catcher for a path, that caused it. Fuck him.
    Not like it was Torrealba catching or anything...
