always meant to see Rush live and never did. no Geddy but i'm thinking strongly about it. have to make up my find pretty fast since they're in LA atm. going to be a solo run since i really don't know many fans or friends who think their ears can handle it!

of course i meant Neil. interesting choice to go w a female drummer. eliminates the inevitable filling of the shoes which would be impossible.

 

found floor seats for $400 tomorrow night. only thing holding me off is the floor always stands the entire show and my knee won't let me do that atm. my Thai masseuse has been putting me through agony but i'm not there yet. fuck this getting old shit. i was in a fair amount of pain ascending to the highest point of DS that night. did i do ok on the pictures?

 

There's a drum doc on Netflix ... you probably saw it. There's a cute little white girl in that who kills the drums. Not Bonzo level or Moonie ... (unfair to compare) but she's skilled.

Rush & Talking Heads are the two rock bands of my generation that I wish I had made time to see.

Zep & the Beatles aren't bands I could've seen but anyway....

 

fancam damn. setlist looks amazing.

 

still watching the one ticket deals. some fantastic ones but part of me thinks the end of the tour the band will be sounding better. Geddys voice isn't quite there yet imo. or maybe this is what it is after all these years. somehow i feel better getting on a plane by myself than hitting a rock show solo. might book a flight to El Salvador instead...wonder if the tour will hit Central America? hmm not much https://www.rush.com/tour/fifty-something/

Just listened to back2back BS&T albums and few days ago - Child Is Father To the Man & the second self titled album. Beautiful music, man. Cooper had his sound & Clayton-Thomas had his. Not comparable but that's ok. Both were solid songwriters.

I'm 61 today. I'm feeling very much my age. But hey... I can still cook & sing along with entire albums from my childhood. Later ... I think it'll be some of this...

Congratulations, being able to sing and remember your favorite lyrics at the same time while still making the food taste good is a blessing.

 

did you find the directing sign on the straight and narrow highway?

 

remember being very young listening to this music cruising in my sisters Mustang stuffing 8 tracks. Hendrix, Canned heat, Beatles and Stones but really heard those Blood Sweat and Tears lyrics. maybe it was his voice which so soulful. listening to these songs tonight...can't really explain. visionary music. let the world not forget him.
