if you like videos on YouTube Nacho videos is an absolute must and he has reworked and reclaimed much more than just Bowie music
the man is prolific and does what he does out of sheer love of music, I've been fortunate to talk to him

went to a cowboy bar on one leg for an old friends birthday
not exactly my kind of place but I drop in the old cowboy palace every 10 years or so
lot of white people line dancing but then it sort of broke out free form (since they all seem to move basically the same)
let the horny cowboys dance w the gf and was staring at my phone when the band broke into an old song
remember it being all over AM radio as a kid so I looked it up
still an impressive tune of a couple of minutes

 

hopefully get my leg back in 10 days and then rehab but I can't do that line dancing shit even if healthy
she prides herself on being able to dance to anything and doesn't need to ask because jelly is the last thing I do
one old dude bought me a beer like I'd pimped her out and I'm like keep dancing w that guy

 

driving last night this Eartha Kitt 1970 cover of a Donovan song came on and strangely hypnotized me for a couple of minutes

 

Actually pretty good. Impressive.

 

remember the original when I was like 6 and trying to figure out what it meant

roommate had one more from the road and it used to make the house playlist a lot which ended up with me seeing the band live a couple of times
I know this was sort of the end of their run but man it seemed like they were playing everywhere all the time
one of them I guess either Dave Davies was fucked up or the brothers were fighting because songs like this he just kept going off on these insane solos
never really heard any of the live stuff sound like it did that night and Ray was clearly not enjoying the gig but the band kept playing and Dave kept shredding
was kind of hard for them to stop him cause the Long Beach arena was losing it
