Quite a showing in Britain for the Ozzie tribute. Impressive.

The first time I heard Randy Rhoads play a classical guitar it instantly sounded like medieval music to me.
I had no idea modern musicians could come up with stuff that sounded like music made by the greatest masters.
And it was some teenage white boy trying to make ends meet.

The most talented musician in the world, today, maybe ever, is Ren.
I challenge all of you to listen to this song, along with the two previous songs (live performances), and present an argument for anybody else.
    This guy is unbelievable.

well...he certainly is interesting and has musical talent and yet he sounds like one of the kids in the hall making music for some reason
i listened to snippets of each one of those songs and probably hung w i shot the sheriff the longest
think its great to see people playing actual instruments so no complaints but if it came on the radio i'm not thinking i shazam but hey he's young and i'm not
reading on him its an interesting story and learning to play by slowing down Hendrix and Frusicante is certainly cool.

I'm (not) ashamed to admit my Mom shopped primarily at Gemco & slummed at Zody's or Pic N Save when we were broke.

I also recall hauling ass towards the food stand at KMart whenever the blue light was lit.

As for the Guess Who & that era of tunes, I recall that the local Licorice Pizza guy would open ANY record and play it if you asked. Guy was perpetually stoned & smelled like patchouli but he was a cool dude.

yes, the lady singer (probalby a lesbo) and the previous band with all the brown people was much better i agree.
    but...

it was free in the bowl about 30 feet from my shop
the people were dancing and loving it and it was good enough to pull me in
    live the guy was great
at least they didnt sex change or race swap the jim morrison impersonator or give him hair color of questionable gender
and here i thought you would be more excited about how well the guy rocked the tight crotched leather pants

thing is that im not a teenager, a trendy asshole, or a woman
and i live in real american town not in a big gay city or in the middle of faggoty gentrification
so why would i ever pay for entertainment?
imagine paying good money to watch some guy gyrate and croon or swing a stick or run around with a ball

im am an asshole, but now im a friendly neighborhood asshole
so if some hot middle aged drunk bottle blonds and a few tortas with big titties are shaking their ass singing along to some old ditties im gonna walk around offering them a toke and telling them to come visit the bookstore after the show and you, the chamber of commerce, the PHA and the PPD cant do a thing to stop me, this still america goddamnnit!

man i have always wanted to see them live but sadly no CA dates closer than Dana Pt.
soon as i get back i have My Morning Jacket in Santa Barbara on the 20th and Mac Demarco on Sept 29th
probably hitting those solo as all my concert buddies complain about noise and crowds
i can handle the 3k and under size crowd np and always have earplugs just in case
    love live music

Mac is an enigma i've always been curious about since seeing him crowd surf at a Tame show
