The entire article is a good summary. Below are some highlights that might be new to some.

thats been common knowledge amongst dodger fans for years. it started when we wouldn't spend for a top notch starting pitching from 07-09 that would have put us that much closer to the show.
it lead to us boycotting quite successfully in the end. we know WHO he is. he's a cocksucking carpetbagging thief. was he a shrewd and savvy businessman to parlay parking lots into ownership? absolutely. and i actually defended the guy three years ago as just that.
but to portray him as some diabolical genius as he circles the drain is just not accurate. he's throwing shit against the walls hoping something will stick and is facing the real possibility that the bankruptcy auction will not bring back enough to satisfy his debts.
do you really think these ultra wealthy businessmen don't know how to smell blood in the water?
and fox is not letting that little inconvenience of a contractual obligation go by the wayside.
so maybe we can hold up admiring franks supposed bulge for a moment.

I posted a link I believe yesterday and the latest estimate as of last week was that his debt was 555 million or so. I lump he and Jamie together and consider her 130 million as part of their combined haul from buying the Dodgers. She was as much involved as he was in taking money from the operation of the team to support his lavish lifestyle. I wouldn't call Frank a diabolical genius but I think the previously track record of his attorneys qualify them as being at the top of the list when it comes to bankruptcy proceedings. If Frank was on his own this would have long since been over. Again MLB his paying his attorneys so all of their legal filings are as of now coming out of the pocket of MLB. If eventually the receipts from the sale go to pay MLB back that will reduce the McCourts combined take. Frank has gotten one heck of a good return on his initial investment with probably more on the way. He now has one of the best companies to clean up the mess and secure maximum profit for him handling the sale of the team. Are they calling the shots? If Frank is smart he is letting his advisors do their job. Leveraged buy out mutual funds can be popular and I have done well with them and admire the work that folks do in making a killing without using their own money. It is a high risk game as is buying junk bonds but the rewards for success can be great and when all is said and done the McCourts will have done well ( they already have). MLB says they have taken 180-200 million out and Jamie is first inline for her 130 million when the team is sold. Once again I see them together as they started out together and both profited from the purchase. Now the IRS could change all of that but considering the ability of MLB owners to exempt money they may be clear there. I mean they paid no taxes on the money they took out it was all clear.

A rather long but a great read on the history of Frank and Jamie.
    http://www.vanityfair.com/society/features/2011/08/mccourt-divorce-201108

    Some relevant highlights

This was his track record coming here so no I am not surprised by what he has done with the franchise and just see it as a continuation of his track record.

Blue Zoo and other older East Coast folks might appreciate knowing that Jamies maiden name is Luskin. Yup she is the daughter of Jack Luskin the infamous cheap electronic chain owner. That in itself might suggest something to some some people.

You are not beating a dead horse as the freaking horse is alive and well and still pulling the cart down the tube. Hopefully the horse will be dead and gone soon and we will have a new one. I don't trust Bud in this at all for the very reason you gave about him. He made a pact with the devil and who knows what discussions led to his buying the team. I suspect Fox knows what he is trying to do and thats why they have requested the team come out of bankrupty PROTECTION and be sold immediately. Hopefully on the issues being mediated Fox will prevail. If they don't Frank will probably profit from the agreed upon price for the media rights. It will probably up the sale price of the team and right now every cent after expenses are paid will go to Frank. What I am still shaking my head at is how the divorce settlement is the number one obligation of the team and Jamie is first inline for her 130 million. I consider them Mr. And Mrs McCrook and she already pilfered the franchise for her lifestyle and she will be funded moving forward by the franchise. All of this needs to remain in the public eye and we need to be diligent in pressing Bud to put some clothes on. Why is Fox pressing for immediate sale and the end of the bankruptcy process since they have a supposed sale agreement (that isn't public and not submitted to the judge for approval is that for wiggle room by either side)?

A walk down nostalgia lane when we thought all was good and oh well a look back and we can only compare to what we now believe to have been the truth back then.

    http://www.usatoday.com/money/companies/management/2005-08-23-mccourt-cover_x.htm

By her job title she is as much to blame for all of this as Frank. By her spending habits she is more to blame for all of this than Frank. Now to think she is first inline to get her $130,000,000! First in line to get her money. By her job description how much is she the most responsible for this financial debacle?

More to make you throw up.

Frank or Jamie take your pick. She has already cleaned up and still has 130 million more to get.

Tried to add this to late to the above but since she was in charge of operations for the team including finances. Perhaps we should look at her goal/vision from back then and evaluate her from that perspective. Perhaps it should not be an evaluation but more one of assigning her share for the debacle we now have.

And she is still due 130 million for her leadership as club president. Yes it is a divorce settlement but it is coming out of the team she was president and vice chairman of that is in bankruptcy court. I know some would object if I used the term brilliant to describe her but she is a well educated lawyer.

Yeah she has the goods to pull it off and did.

Her father was a very successful appliance con artist by product quality but you had to appreciate his business model even if you never shopped there. Hint, hint I am saying Jamie is as much to blame as Frank and considering her academic and professional background she didn't just step into the money she ripped off from the Dodgers Nor is she anyones hero victimizing Frank these days. At least not to my presentation. So if you prefer you can shut your eyes or cover your ears and not digest my posts.
