I'd prefer a salary cap, much like the NFLs, where teams have to spend a minimum of 95% of the salary cap every single year I doubt that happens because the MLBPA should never accept a salary cap system unless the owners for legally required to open up the entirety of their books so MLBPA can see how much money is actually being made But owners will never open up their books so there will never be a salary cap

The Reds fans here love to say how Cincy is 'small market' while forgetting that Reds owner Phil Castellini has seen MILLYUNS of dollars from teams in LA, NY, Philly, Boston, Atlanta, San Diego, & Toronto just this year. Small market teams get 50% of that money, with player benefits & retirement getting the other half. Everyone of these - from players & owners alike - are greedy pricks, and we will not have a 2027 season & they don't GAF.
