6th man (for a year until Kobe retires) Randle

    27th pick Justin Anderson/Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
    32nd pick Robert Upshaw/Rakeem Christmas

I doubt Hollis-Jefferson is on the board at 27. Would love if they trade 27/34 and filler/whatever it takes to trade up (20ish) to get him. If he ever learns to shoot, he's gonna be a great 2-way player in the NBA.

    I'd also consider this scenario:

    PG Russell/Clarkson
    SG Kobe
    SF Jimmy Butler
    PF Randle
    C D'Andre Jordan

Just read through the NBA mock draft 2.0 and it's a deeeeep draft this year... Lots of talent ... might even still be some at 27 & 34

first draft in a while I've given a shit about..

Yes please and one of those.. and one of those... and can I also have one of these please? Thank you.

I imagine the Lakers will try to trade one or both of the #27/#34 picks.

Randle is essentially a rookie. #2 pick will be a rookie getting significant minutes.

3 rookies on the squad is pushing it....definitely don't want 4.

    PG: Rodriguez, Clarkson, Buycks
    SG: Mudiay, Young, Henry
    SF: Kobe, Brown, Ellington
    PF: Randle, Davis, Black
    C : Kaman, Aldritch, Kelly

Sergio Rodriguez wants to come back to NBA and is way better than he was before now that he can shoot as well as pass and drive.
He is the best PG in europe, sign him to come play for the Lakers.
Sign Cole Aldrich and Kaman. Both should be easy to get as Kaman would be a salary dump for the Blazers and Aldrich is not in the Knicks future and they wont want to tie up future salary on him. Maybe a S/T and swap for picks since the knicks want Okafor.
    Dump Jordan Hills salary.
Get Xavier Henry back on the team know that he's healing and will again be cheap.
Jabari Brown, Ed Davis, Dwight Buycks and Tarik Black should come back and keep helping off the bench alongside sixth man Nick Young and bench players Wayne Ellington, Jordan Clarkson. And Ryan Kelly could still be there.

Or dont sign Rodriguez and put Mudiay at PG and get a guy like OJ Mayo to join the team.
Probably could trade him for a guy like Jordan Hill. Salaries match.
Mayo and Young playing together might be fun and a good change of pace for Mayo who needs the glory of LA to play up to his skill level.

    PG: Mudiay/Clarkson
    SG: Kobe/Young
    SF: Mayo/Young
    PF: Randle/Davis
    C : Kaman/Aldritch

Lots of scoring in the guards and wings with the big men there for the defense and dirty work.

ahh Rube that is about the worst collection of non starter ideas that I have read recently

No to Kaman. Period. He should have retired years ago.
No to Aldridge. Period. Athletic as he is stupid. Brick machine. Next...

These are not 'winners' if you see my point.

Winners win like its a mindset. It's a believer thing.
Kobe wins and gets 'winning' but neither Kaman nor Aldridge ever will.

Okafor, Townes and Russell all get winning

let's stick with the kids instead of someone else's castoffs

    PG -Russell
    SG - Kobe
    SF - Harris (Tobias)
    PF - Randle
C - Aldridge (not a huge fan of him as a Center, but we need some marquee free agent)

    6th man - Clarkson

I think we should go hardest after Monroe or Jordan. They fit the best.

Yeah I can't handle pros who can't make a foul shot. Monroe made his at a 70% clip last year. Kinda surprised we arent after him more aggressively.

Monroe is not a good fit for our team, dude is decent but nothing special and he still can't play defense.
