My god. Does it really take losing 100 games a year until you have all organization guys in order to win? This doesn't make any sense. Losers.

This team pumped up their record/stats by beating up on weak teams all year. They went 30 games above 500 vs teams with a losing record and 8 under vs winning teams. Astros swept them, Rangers went 3-1 vs them, Mets went 4-3 vs them, Cards went 5-2 vs them, Giants went 11-8 vs them, and the Pirates went 5-1 vs them. Winning the NL West means nothing when you have the payroll that we have and have a division full of mediocre/bad teams like the Rockies, Dbacks, and Padres. For the 3rd year in a row, our offense failed us. We scored 2 runs in a extra inning loss to St. Louis in game 1 of the 2013 NLCS and proceeded to score 0 runs in St. Louis the rest of the series. Last year, we put up 6 runs in our last 3 games vs the Cards and the offense failed again this year by scoring 1 run in game 1, and only scoring in the first inning in game 5. We can change managers, add starting pitching, add bullpen arms, but it won't matter if we don't drastically change this offense. Our 6 hitter in a do or die game was 5 for his last 92, our 2 hitter was a rookie with barely over a month's worth of experience, our lead off hitter has never hit lead off in his career, and our 5 hitter was a guy that performed so badly in 2014 that the entire fanbase wanted him out. It's an extremely weak offense that doesn't come close to the offenses in KC, Toronto, Chicago, St. Louis, etc. We could make zero changes and probably win the division next year by masking our flaws vs bad teams, but the end result will be the same. Winning the division isn't nearly good enough, and this team was a Mets collapse in the last week of the season away from having the worst record of all NL playoff teams. Disgusting.

This one was pretty clearly on the front office. They didn't see the writing on the wall in regards to Joc, and they didn't get a 3 starter. Hindsight of course but it is what it is. Sign Justin Upton.

My last comment for this season:

I watched this game really closely, and here's what I saw. Dodgers had all the momentum. Ethier and Mattingly get in an argument over who-knows-what in the dugout. Immediately the momentum shifts and stays in the Mets' favor the remainder of the game. I have no idea what the point of contention was, but just as the guys in the booth said, there's no reason to introduce negativity in your dugout at this stage of the season. They're a couple of complete imbeciles.

Fire Donny tomorrow. Trade Ethier over the winter (especially since after a solid season and one less year on that contract, they should be able to get something in return). Start prepping for next year.

That's all I have. See you all next spring.

The reality is that I'm not doing this shit next year. Yeah it's cool cause it gets you away from school/work and other bull shit for most of the year, but it's not worth being invested in this team.

Astros went out and added Kazmir, Rangers went out and added Hamels, Royals went out and added Cueto, Blue Jays went out and added Tulowitzki, David Price, Mets went out and added Cespedes, Uribe. Dodgers went out and added Mat Latos and Alex Wood...haha.

You in particular came out in support for these ass clowns as they made stupid move after stupid move.

    Is Kendrick better than Gordon?
Would you today flip Heaney for Kendrick?
How did J Roll work out?
Would you rather have Kemp over Grandal?
Did Grandal solve the problem behind the plate?
McCarthy was another genius move right? Oh yeah we have him another 3 years.

Oh but I forgot you're smart...just like these guys right?

That's what you implied when I said these moves were terrible? You deferred to these smart guys right? Called me out.

    We've regressed.

GTFO, you're a douchebag and a tool. You have no idea what you're talking about and you know baseball as good as my left nut.

This is almost exactly how I looked at it this season after the last season's failure. Well it is easier to handle the loss. I don't feel as bad as I did last season.

We all know drinking is bad for us and tell ourselves we'll stop, but we always end up doing it anyways. Dodgers are the same way....bad for our health, but we always end up back with them anyways. I should probably see a doctor.
