the call to steal home was ballsy
it wasn't out by much and i think that run might have shocked the team big time
joc's catch was also really big

This place just wouldn't be the same without a Ned Beatty reference every couple of months.

The Dodgers were slightly better than the Astros in 2017 but they were intimidating and a worthy adversary. Cheating tipped the scales.
In 2018, the Red Sox were a way better team and the whole season felt like a hangover anyways.
The cardinals, Phillies, and a handful of other teams over the past 16 years (and especially the last 7) felt like bosses we couldn't defeat.
There was always something in LAD way.
This year, the Dodgers are so much better than their world series opponent.
They are going to win it all.

Not seeing Baez or Jansen was my favourite part of the game.

If it goes to a Game 7, we will 100% see him again. I doubt we see him tomorrow, but if it came down to Kershaw or Kenley for the save, I take Kershaw on 1-day rest 1000x

Still thinking about the team having that unreal collapse in game 4, one of the worst plays in World Series history, and just coming back the next day and dominating. After being down 0-2 in NLCS, being down 1-3 and then losing in the 2nd inning of game 5... and just bouncing back never panicking and rolling through it. Incredible. Idk what to attribute it to: player experience, trusting the talent, coaching, strategy, optimism, athletes having a short memory, who knows who knows but wtv it is, it’s wildly impressive. Lots of teams would have folded after those moments and it wouldn’t have been surprising. But these dudes treated it like it was no big deal, just a loss at the end of the day.

    Sure seemed that way.

It was very important to jump on Glasnow early and they did it. Just wish they could have knocked him out an inning or so earlier. The more Tampa relievers they see the better.

Speaking of experience, Arozarena, who has mostly been very disciplined at the plate, jumped at marginal pitch on the outside from Gonzalez and popped it up. He had a rookie moment at just the right time for the Dodgers.

I think I heard Smolz say " this series is a back and forth affair...one team wins the other team wins the next game. It seems to me the team that can win two in a row would have the advantage"...
Must be a staunch advocate of the Homer Simpson school of thought, I would think.
    Reach for the stars...

So formula for game 6 will be Tony to start, giving him a short leash, followed by heavy bullpen. I think only pitchers you wanna stay away from are Buehler, Kershaw, Julio, and Treinen (going 4 in 5 days and possibly 5 in 6 days is crazy). Everyone else has got to be pushed and used.

I know I’m kinda alone in this but do think outside of a few instances Dave’s been mostly fine in aggressive bullpen games, and he’s gonna have to do it again here. Again I know I’m alone in that but in the end, he’s been fine and made some tough calls that have worked (not even getting to the team bouncing back and whether or not u attribute that to a coach... I don’t really feel strongly either way about that). some aggravating fuck ups for sure though, game 5 and game 2 of NLCS were the worst two, the others were wtv, but were gonna need a great game 6 from everyone so I hope he’s got another. This is all compared to Kevin Cash who apparently thinks Glasnow is a hall of famer and then has waited all series to lean on his good relievers, only to be down 3-2 now.

Anyways, Do it like game 2, you can tell if Tony has it or doesn’t and you have enough bullpen to cover for him early. Also, pull him too early rather than too late. We got Wood, Brusdar, Victor, Baez, Kelly, Floro, McGee, Kolarek, and maybe May who can all get you PLENTY of outs. Tony+Wood alone can get you 5-6 innings of good pitching.

if we’re up, then you can push one of Treinen, Urias, or Kershaw if necessary (preferably only Blake). Only need to use them in a spot where you think game 6 ends it. Otherwise, you save them for a game 7. So, push relievers in game 6, knowing that you have Julio/Kershaw available in game 7
