Rosenthal is reporting that the Rockies and Cardinals appear to be making progress on a deal that would send Nolan Arenado to St Louis. There seem to be a lot of parts in the air still, so the deal could still fall apart. The AL and NL Central were fucking jokes this year. Bauer said it was impossible to see improvement to a certain level without cheating using a foreign substance, something he’d never do and had claimed the Astros had been doing it for years. In his walk year he saw a massive jump in the RPM’s on his pitches with multiple rumors that he’s created a substance that is not easily detectable. It’s almost certain he cheated, but everyone is doing it. The worry is Bauer is a different kind of animal, would he potentially stop cheating after getting a big deal and return to mediocrity? Or will he keep keep using the substance and continue being a legit front of the rotation starter? Is he not really cheating and finally figured it out? Has he worked on his personality enough that his teammates don’t want to kill him? Too many question marks, I think we should pass.

 

No offense but I feel like you have some sort of pent up distaste and bias against Bauer. That’s fine and all, but let’s say he did start using the stuff so many others did. Why would he stop now? This guy puts more effort and research and off field work into his game than anyone else in the sport. I think the personality thing is overblown when it comes to relationships with other players in the clubhouse.

 

He did use and he's been half laughing about it for 6 months. I could care less.

Oh I do and I have not hid it at all on here where I have said it multiple times. I'm close with too many people that know him personally or shared a dugout with him and they all say he is absolute toxic. Everyone of them says the same thing, he talks like he thinks he's the smartest guy in the room, but he's really a fucking idiot. He pisses off teammates and guys worry about what he is going to say out loud, so teammates feel they need to walk on eggshells around him. My worry is he is doing all this just to prove a point. He wants more money a year than Cole (a former teammate who FUCKING HATES HIM) without nearly the positive history that Cole had. He keeps doing his thing, then great. My worry is he gets paid and then starts talking more about pitchers cheating in the game and it brings on all the wrong sorts of attention.

Trevor is an asshole because he has the full to do it right, and the prove that by doing it right costs him and others hundreds of millions. The fall in line boys are cheating but the guy who has a voice is wrong. Hypocrisy its finest. The boys can do whatever they want so long as they follow the fake fucking standard.

Bauer is making a mockery of these fake pitchers by calling them out, beating them at their own game and laugh at it.

Who cares if he has a voice. There is nothing wrong with talking if what you say is right. Baseball should embrace him because if not for people like him the sport will continue to dwindle. It's a new generation. We need to stop trying to force everyone to act like it's 1970. It's a huge turn off to the modern and upcoming fan.
