Random thing that made me laugh yesterday watching the Rockies broadcast. They were boasting about how our pitching staff’s ERA is higher at Coors Field compared to our numbers away from it the last like 3-4 seasons. Then they mention the Dodgers bring the era back down a bit at home against the Rockies, but overall the VS ERA against the Rockies is higher than our average. Meaning that the Rockies have more than held their own against a club that they’re like 18-40 against over the last 3+. That made me laugh that they just totally ignored the Coors effect.

They announced he partially separated his shoulder AGAIN last night. Sounds like the same issue as Cody had that needed surgery so it doesn't continue to happen. I wonder if he tries to muscle through the season and have the same surgery in the offseason. Big difference is that Cody separated it when he would dive or in one instance.... do something really fucking stupid. Tatis keeps doing it by just swinging. Then with every time it happens, it will just get easier to occur going forward. It's going to be interesting to see how they decide to handle this.

And Bellinger had the off season to get it and recover. Tatis will likely need surgery and have to come back later in the year

Nationals will be without at least nine players due to covid protocols

Might still be without them when they come to town

The Brewers have traded SS Orlando Arcia. No known destination, but this could be a REALLY bad sign for the Padres.

Yeah, that Tatis contract extension is one of the most idiotic things I've seen in sports management. They basically disregarded their one big advantage - time. Now they get to sweat every injury.

At this point, I wouldn't let him try to muscle through the season. I'd protect my investment and shut him down. They still have enough talent to stay in the hunt while he recovers, but even if they were to fall too far back, it's better to sacrifice one year than to potentially make it a chronic issue.

I guess they were worried he’d be so great that a 340 million dollar contract would be pennies to what he’d get in say 2027

Still his contract isn’t the worst. Especially now when he’s only getting paid 1 million. If he needs surgery, get it now. Even if you sacrifice the year it’s better than sacrificing 10

Way to go, MLB. Take the game from a community with numerous minority-owned businesses and move it to one that's 87% white, then pretend you're woke.

Sorry, I know that's political. Probably should have used the other thread.

He's not a douche, he's just flat out dumb, and he reaffirms it with everything he struggles to articulate.

Yeah, I am sure during a Pandemic there was going to be an influx of people coming to the All Star Game that was going to really boost the region. I am sure all the locally owned African American businesses around the park are going to take a hit like *checks map* The Punch Bowl, Yard House, Red Lobster, KFC, Dunkin' and many another fine dining you can only find every 5 square miles around the country. Please save me from this Faux News bullshit headline. They plopped a stadium in the middle of nowhere and filled the surrounding commercial with large chain restaurants and major hotel chains. This is making a statement about the state passing ludicrous voter suppression laws and moving it to another state with arguably the best voting practices in the country. That's it. This whole right wing spin on the thing is fucking ignorant bull fucking shit. I don't care who I just offended, btw.

His point is that the league was disingenuous in making this decision. His response was calculated and appropriate.

Nobody is offended. You're entitled to your opinion.

Fox News is no more or less garbage than what you watch and consider legitimate.

I agree with you that the game is of no consequence to wherever it is played, economically or otherwise. That's precisely why moving the game is just pandering.

If there is nothing to gain or lose from the All-Star game (as you fairly point out), why did MLB feel the need to move it in the first place? If they move the Braves out of Georgia or don't allow teams to play there as visitors, that would actually impress me. The league would actually stand to lose something in that scenario. Sacrifice for what's right! But they won't.

As usual, the mob is stating their opinion as fact and extorting anybody who doesn't agree. I actually don't mind the extortion. The league should do whatever they want.

I'm not offended in the least by others opinions about anything unlike the cancel crowd outrage lefties offended by people's skin color
And if I were there for the game I'd be looking for the best local places to eat bit that's just me
I've never eaten in any of those places you mention

All I got from your rant is that you are offended.
And brought out some weak analytics to back up your argument.
The only thing offensive is how useless analytics are continually use to back up non points.
The amount of KFCs within a 5 minute radius of the park has nothing to do with the point.
It's like being served a big blop of camel dung at a restaurant and complaining to the waiter that there's a fly on your plate.
    You missing some shit.
