    I freaking love Maeda. Him getting fired up is awesome.

    There's something about the versatility and selflessness of this roster. It sounds cliche, but it's true. Remember... Kemp, Martin, Penny, Hanley, and a number of others were all selfish asshats whose character and will to win was questioned by teammates and management.

    Somehow Puig went from the guy at the beginning of the season that I hoped would go on a little hot streak just to get us some kind of trade value in return... to one of my favorite players. It's weird to see him so focused.

    It's a shame the DBacks have to be the way they are. I want to say something nice about the season they had. A big turnaround from the year before. They kept grinding even though the division was well out of reach. They did well. But fuck them. In the end it had nothing to do with their attitude... they just weren't the better team. Congrats on beating us in meaningless games in August. Now fuck off.
