If he was losing velocity I'd be more worried, but since he's adding, that is something that can be much more easily addressed. Kershaw always has a couple weeks during the early goings of a season where he struggles while trying something new and overall just trying to get everything in line. I wouldn't worry much, but do keep an eye on that slider.
Looks like he should be adding more bite to the ball than velocity. Then it could be that he's not been able to get the right spin on the ball and so is trying to make up for that in velocity. Not sure about cause and effect. But it does make you think that Kershaw won't be Kershaw forever. This FO needs to know this and help Kershaw earn his first championship. Would have been more confident of that if the SP help was more consistent instead of middle of the road but with "depth." I sometimes hate that word.
