I miss Lasorda and I wasn't even born in the 70s-80s. He always went to bat for his guys but would never lie like Dave.
Every game you see Manny do something you’ve never seen before. Today he hit a ball deep down the line at 3B, and literally was the only middle-infielder under 30 who couldn’t beat that throw (even Max is safe on that). How can an “elite” athlete in his prime be that slow? No way you entertain signing this guy. Plus on that same play he stepped on the first baseman’s foot like a douche. Manny is going to get our own guys drilled and give this franchise a bad name. If the Dodgers sign this guy I might honestly take a 6-8 year hiatus from this team.
Just a thought, if you are managing a team the day after an 18 inning game, your #1 priority should probably be to have your starting pitcher pitch as deep as humanly possible into the next game.
It's difficult to watch the same thing happen to us every year.... It definitely hurts. It is embarrassing too. BUT I'm beginning to become numb to that aspect. I'm used to seeing towering homeruns sail into the pavillion. Numb. Almost. What I will never get numb to is thinking about what could have been. What could have happened if those incidents didn't occur. It could be 2-2 with another home game tomorrow to potentially take the lead. Last year, we could have been champions. It's not about the moments themselves anymore. When I'm laying in bed tonight, I'm thinking about what could have been
I'm already making arrangements for tomorrow night so I can avoid the game. Hopefully plans don't fall through
I also think about how foolish I was to be happy when Puig hit that HR. So many moments in the postseason that amount to 0.
Our bullpen was never in better shape than theirs going into today’s game. Our starting pitching was in better shape. Riding our starter and jumping all over theirs was how we attack and win today.
I don’t think I can stomach seeing Roberts’ and Jansen’s ugly fat faces ever again. I want them out of the organization like now. I won’t be able to sleep tonight.
I’ve followed this team for 40+ years and I’ve learned to enjoy the moments like puig’s HR. Like Monday is 81 and Gibson in 88, there have been good times and bad times. As I get older and more bitter, I realize that those moments are fleeting. I’ll keep hoping for next year, trusting that the Big Dodger in the sky has one more winning moment for all of us. What are we going to do, root for the Angels?
My problem with Dave is nothing he says adds up. In Dave's pregame presser he said everyone was available. And he was stern about it "This is the WS" he said. Yet Baez isn't available? This was the most important game of the year and he wasn't available? When you said he was? "This is the WS"..? Then you get to the repeat mistakes. Early hook Hill, inherited runners Madson, POS Alexander and 6 out Jansen. He never learns. Hate to keep bringing up intangibles but he has no capacity for improv or gut decisions. It is the WS. You can plan all you want but plans change dude Yes, it is the players. No doubt. When you see the stats, we are literally setting records for choking. That's on the whole team. But Dave cannot return. Send a message to the fans that repeat mistakes and falling short wont be tolerated
and he's saying urias and baez were "down" who the fuck makes that decision w the season on the line?
dave is just a simpleton and life is good not going to bother w this until he's gone sure he's a good man but i know every guy on that team knows he failed they won't say it but they know why invest anything? cora was on the hot seat until davey said hold my beer
I wonder what it is like to be Dave Roberts. He is so inept that President Trump actually united the country with one of his tweets. That puts Dave in his own class of stupid, imo. Lol
96 vs 92 does that less velocity less movement no complimentary pitches at all Embrace the suckitude.. but do not resign him
Resign him and then trade him to a team desperate for a star for some good relievers. Midway through next season you trade Manny, Joc, Bellinger, Kike, Kemp, Wood, Ferguson, Toles, Ross, Barnes, and Taylor for Trout and Otani.
