Oddly, if someone likes a post I have made, I can click on it, and do whatever( like respond to you here), and I'll be on. But if I go off, I will have to sign in every time I try and come back to give snarky comments. I attempted to open up as Bluezoo1, as suggested by Irish. But when I went to the r ezt sign up requirements like email, it was like " already registered. I only have one email. Thanks for your efforts, Tafnac.

TAFNAC said he can bypass the need for an email on your new login account, so this may be a moot point, but... Why not just create a free new email account just for this sole purpose? Don't use it for anything else. Write down the email username and password and keep it filed somewhere where you can refer to if you forget. It doesn't even have to be hidden because you'll only use this email for this purpose... won't be associated with bank accounts or any other sensitive information.
I dont think this is one of those teach a man to fish and he will never go hungry type of situations guys lol. I think maybe you guys should be bringing him the bacon already fried and crispy. So that he can smell the smoking fat and be be able to eat it and digest it.
while there's numerous reasons for those w nefarious agendas or a desire for anonymity etc. actually its an advantage for situations such as these. on the occasion a website is identifying me solely by the email it gives me an opportunity to just skip trying to recall a password and just enter through a different door. on a site like this where its free but you're having issues it just bypasses whatever those are hopefully. you become Bluezoo1 as you said and leave the nonsense behind.
I've repaired the database and everything is looking clean now and the site seems to be faster. I'll keep an eye on it.
It seems to be worse than ever for me.. Probably most likely, something messed up I'm doing or have done. Takes me forever to get on.
You have to let it die. This issue is very old and its not going to fix itself no matter how many times you run the diagnostics. This site is not about all that it used to be. Presently you have only a dozen or so people who visit. Restart with them and then redirect everyone to the new site. If you want you can still keep this as a read only legacy thing for reasons? But you guys have no need for all this bulk. Its just food for the data miners to spend their day nibbling. Just start over. This site for the amount of people that use it should be running smooth on a cheap service. I should have just done it ten years when I had the chance instead of waiting for consensus. There is no sound reasoning I can see for continuing with something that is not working. Specially when it affects one of the everyday members who look forward to this as part of their daily life. The solution is there. You just have to do it.
been on my laptop most of the day today but personally the DSP site appears to be getting sluggish again. at least for me.
