Alston stopped the f**king bus & called out the team. And NOBODY stepped off that bus either.

as someone who had to manage and run some business its kind of shocking to me how unprepared this squad is
i'm not saying its the same thing or even close but when you're the leader of anything when someone fails its your fault
minor or major failures have to come back to the amount of tutelage and instruction are given at least that's how i always saw it
when something goes wrong i have to ask myself where i failed to convey the importance or mission in clear terms
if i knew i had stridently implied the importance and the failure still occurred then i'd be looking for another employee at some point
i could care less if the redundancy of detail had people bored it was my name and my reputation on the line each and every time
just the observations of a minor king and a minor thing but davey is just the antithesis of a leader
no idea how the man in charge can continually see things go astray and not look in the mirror
i mean isn't that the job by definition?

There was a time when Will (and Freddie of course) would be who I would want up with a chance to end the game. Not the .159 in August hitting Smith of yesterday. Glad I was wrong. That ball was hammered.

Bailed out Tanner Scott's sorry ass. One bloop hit, but Marte's single and Carroll's HR were both center cut fastballs. Then he walks the next hitter and Dbacks send up the RH Gurriel, one of their hottest hitters the past month. Couldn't believe Roberts left him to face Gurriel, but he got away with it. Just because a move works doesn't mean it was a good move (Gurriel was 3-9 vs. Scott).

Obviously Yamamoto deserved better. One sketchy inning and six innings of dominance.

    Offense was just good enough.

Good news is Treinen appears to be rounding into form.

Sincerely meant, brother @fsudog21 ... I'd rather read your day-afters & @lastatman & @jpldodgers evals of minor-league progress & micro-analyses of the big club than ANY professional journalists or bloggers out there.

And no ... that's not me being homo. It's the truth.

And now ... @irish has this on a tee to do as he will ... f@ggot that he is....

I'm REALLY bummed to see that Yates and Scott have evidently not improved since their IL stints. I was hoping their earlier-season struggles could be chalked up to playing hurt, but now I'm starting to accept that they just suck. Hopefully Treinen is indeed rounding into form, like you say, because the rest of the high-leverage reliever statuses are spotty at best. Phillips and Graterol are not coming back this year. Vesia has the oblique issue - we know how that can linger. And Kopech just gave up 3 earned in a third of an inning a couple nights ago in OKC - his ERA there is over 13.00. Oh, and if there was any inkling of hope that Bobby Miller could help in his new role, he has hit a rough patch with control issues again. Not good.

Because of the two recent off days, Sheehan's spot in the rotation is being skipped.

Not likely that he'd start in the playoffs, assuming the other starters remain healthy. The obvious default for him would be long relief, but I'm wondering if he should take a higher-leverage role and move either Yates or Scott into mop up duty - considering neither has proven to be reliable.

    his boss sucks too
unless you believe conforto, scott and yates are success stories
roberts mystifying employment is not predicated on performance
guggenheim only cares that he appears to check all the appropriate boxes
    transgender promotions >>> championships

    DUH!

hes doing the job he was hired to do
what on earth do you think the dodgers are to the guggs?
its money laundering front you rube

btw this trying to hold on to the past business is not going to serve you any good
one of the major advantages that we have is humans is our ability to adapt to change
if you stick your heels in the mud and cling to traditions and react from fear you will cease to evolve spiritually
there is no need to fear the transgender
    on the contrary
guggs is a predator preying on the weak links in our society
    like all predators do
i interact with transgender people all the time at the bookstore and they are not your enemy
but you allow yourself to be played by the predators who use you to herd the weakest towards their traps
traps like lgbtq nights and other promotions and events designed to lure them to the stadium in order to pump them with expensive merchandising
you have nothing to fear from trans people
you have everything to fear from the predators in the front office
    but what can you do
you never wanna go back to the dodgers being owned by a con artist trying to rub two stolen nickels together to make try and manufacture himself some championships

lots of people are never satisfied
    about 50.5% of the population

back in the late 60’s/early 70’s, it seemed like gomer pitched every game my dad took us to
he wasn’t as flashy as drysdale or sutton, but he was still pretty solid
problem was those dodgers teams had trouble scoring
    sounds familiar
