It could determine HFA if they meet in the WS. Slim chance, but you never know.

Funny that Davey's "rest day" lineups are beating what looks to me is Seattle's A-lineup.

Is Scott pitching the 9th? Might be all for naught.

looks like they're having a let up while the Dodgers have determined to go full speed from yesterday while resting some guys
think Mookie sitting tomorrow would be good

Now, tomorrow's game is truly meaningless. It won't bother me if the Dodgers lose... I just hope if they do that it doesn't go to Kershaw. Just don't want to see his regular season end that way.

be surprised if they play anything but focused
not doing anything stupid but what's the point in pretending your getting any rest now?
on a side note did anyone see Blakes hat he was wearing post game?
it said LOYAL but i don't see anything online tyia

Not sure what to make of 9 straight Ks to end the game, but I like it.

Treinen looking like 2024 playoff Treinen, Vesia looking like his old self and Enriquez bringing the heat instead of fucking around with breaking stuff. Rushing mentioned after the game that a catcher's meeting was held before last night's game. Maybe something about pitch selection?

B lineup rallied against one of the best closers in the game. More playoff Kike. He's going to be needed as it looks like Max isn't going to be 100%. Rushing was swinging the bat like highly touted prospect he's supposed to be. Four hits out of the 8-9 spots (Kike and Rushing).

Absolutely. Amazing that I tnought with the junior varsity lineup I witnessed for the last two days, it was running out the schedule for Dave ( and it probably was)...but the team was there for both games, and not mailing it in. Especially the Kike. What an emergence ! Long may he wave...
When you see the Mariner lineup stats on the screen, and their accompanying numbers, I asked myself, "how did this team ever lose a game" ?
60 hrs, 49, 32, 27 and on and on. Really impressive. And all playing in the lineup.
Special congratulations to the Blue on this series to date.

A couple of those sluggers (Naylor and Suarez) were late adds. Starting pitching is the backbone of that team.

Love the 6:08 pm start times for games 1 and 2 but don't love Yamamoto not getting a start in either
I like Ohtani in game 1 but Yama should be starting game 2 over Snell
Sounds like Kershaw will be left off the roster
If Scott makes it but Kershaw is left off...

I trust Kershaw to get 3 outs far more than Tanner Scott

Guessing Kershaw is in on whatever the plan is for the post - including taking the wild card round off

So funny, here we are game 162 and Roberts still insists on batting a .200/.637 hitter in the prime-RBI #5 spot.

I agree, and it's not so much that Kershaw is sitting out of this round, it's that Scott (maybe) is in.

Imagine Tanner blows game three and Kersh never gets the opportunity to get in this postseason.

Let Conforto's BA dip below .200 and then pull him

    Kershaw looks sharp today, too.

Perhaps he asked to start today so he would get the week to rest for the NLDS. But that's not a CK type move - it smells like a Roberts move, one that indicates the manager ia looking past this short series.

Whatever the case, LA absolutely MUST win game 1. All the pressure is on them.

He closed it out like the champion he is.
Not so much about Raleigh, I have no reason to dislike the guy.
But Arrozerena was doing everything he could to spoil the day for Kershaw even swinging at a stupid pitch two feet over his head. Couldn't think of a better guy to embarrass himself in a desperate attempt to be a scumbag ! Well done, Randy, you douche.
    ...and Kershaw comes out again...
