Happy Jackie Day...enjoy the game all of those who can actually see it. With the broadcast blackout on this historic day in US culture, and the regular blackouts now, along with the relentless trouble I have with this website (even just to try and sign in every single time I want to go on it), it's pissing me off to no end. But enjoy number 42.
Turn back the clock night to 1965 at the Ravine. Yamamoto playing the role of Koufax-Drysdale and Treinen and Vesia playing the Roebuck-Perranoski role. Old school small ball rally featuring a walk, a bunt and a bloop single for the go-ahead run. Chalk up another series win.
shohei pitching, but not hitting tonight okay, i guess last night’s HBP may have factored in fine, but why have your worst hitter lead off? wtf roberts??? K Tucker RF F Freeman 1B W Smith C T Hernández LF M Muncy 3B A Pages CF D Rushing DH H Kim SS A Freeland 2B S Ohtani P
yep @Alden_Gonzalez Probably obvious, but I’m told Shohei Ohtani not hitting is merely precautionary after the hit by pitch — and something the Dodgers might do strategically at other times this season. Off-day tomorrow might have influenced that, too.
My only question is why not put Rushing at catcher and DH Smith so you don't have to give Will a rest day next series? But hey, he's the manager, so he must know what he's doing, ha.
I don't see how Rushing is on the team much longer You have to figure multiple teams are going to go very hard after him
if he's dialed in his bat for sure but the Dodgers can afford the luxury would have to be a pretty crazy return what's on the wish list?
I wish there was a way he could play every day for LA. If they're going to trade him though, they'd better get full value. Good hitting catchers are a rarity in this league.
