    pretty incredible inning to watch. sorry to say when Teo came up i turned away hoping not to watch him whiff on the same pitch 3 times in a row. at least i didn't have actually see it. hope he can take a deep breath soon.

    Man, it's so good to see Mookie's batting average at .250 given where it was. I know how streaky he can be. I hope this run has legs.

    A petulant child (Rushing) and the Chinless One (Tucker) shall lead them after Rocket Sasaki shat all over the game in the first two innings. Four singles and walk for Tucker. Two singles, double, HR and a sac fly for Rushing. A big FU to the doubters (including myself). His exit velocities were 104, 108, 99, 105 and 109. That's some solid contact. Looked just as good against the LHs as against the RHs.

    Looked like a frustrating night after Muncy popped with two runners in scoring position with his team down 2-0. Lead grew to 6-0 until Rushing's HR got them back into it. That HR started an avalanche of runs. 17 hits and 6-16 RISP. Only one not joining in the fun was Teo, who was flailing like Otis the town drunk from Mayberry.

    Getting very tired of hearing about Roki's mechanics, real or not. Appears to this amateur observer that his issue is between his Dumbo ears. Could he be tipping his pitches? Perhaps, but the pitches that were getting smoked last night were of batting practice variety. Hate seeing that little boy that just got his assed whipped look on his face. I would suggest the Johnny Fontaine treatment.



    Well done by the pen cleaning up after Roki.

    Three more games with Jessica? Great Dodger in the Sky help me.

    The Padres have lost a season-high six consecutive games and have allowed 35 runs over their past two.

    Since taking the opener of a weekend series against the Dodgers from Petco Park last Friday, the Padres have allowed 66 runs, the most in a six-game stretch in franchise history. Those six games have seen their pitchers post a 10.48 ERA and serve up 17 homers, both the worst marks in the major leagues by a wide margin.

    None of those games saw a Padres starting pitcher complete five innings.

    We had a storm go through about a half hour ago that left over 140,000 homes without power. The driveway looks like someone took a giant saw and took 20 big branches off the trees...incredible.
