Vinny leaving after 67 years in the game, and 88 years on earth.
And this kid at 24 gone already.
How very fragile life is...a terrible, terrible reminder of our vulnerabitity.

 

Has me flashing back to the Tim Crews-Bobby Ojeda boating accident in '93.

 

Wow, this is beyond horrible. The death of any 24 year old is tragic. There were 2 other people on the boat who died as well, RIP to all 3.

As far as the game and us fans, we lost one of the great ones. What he had already done and where he was going in the game, simply something that can't be replaced. Shocked and saddened.

 

I first saw it on Facebook and thought it was click bait. Unbelievable. Praying for his family and teammates. Ugh.

 

I got a text from the MLB app that I saw half asleep, and was positive it was a typo or that I was just groggy and seeing it wrong. Opened Twitter and just couldn't believe it.

Sad for his family(girlfriend just announced she was pregnant) and the Marlins organization

 

The live feeds from Marlins Stadium is just too overwhelmingly sad...Dee Gordon standing there looking down at the mound with Number 16 on the back of it was devastating.
