LAKERS (LAKERS) Thread

lebron is playing great with the current setup
this team actually is really good around classic flavor LeBron
a team full of really good role players on both offense and defense
this allows all of the hero moments to be left to LeBron without any of the little responsibilities
which is what feeds his 'green' meter
aka which puts him in the zone/makes him feel young/evergreen
this is LeBron getting to play 'his' way

trade Luka for a haul and build the team around Austin and that haul going forward
or trade Austin... as much as i would hate it
having both is a luxury but also too much of a defensive hole
specially when both guards
it doesnt allow enough time for role playing defensive guards to get time off the bench
when our two main stars are gonna be guards who cant defend

lebron sucks on D because he only tries when he wants to but at least he is a big body and doesnt have to defend guards and can do something when hes trying
luka is the better player but both are white guys with bad bodies who will only get worse on defense as they age and accumulate injuries and this scenario of both being out at the same time would kill the team when it no longer has a playmaker like LeBron to take over for both of them in one.

if this team without both of those guys beats the Houston Rockets then maybe they should trade one of them for a real replacement for LeBron James.
