Straw man? I thought this was a discussion, when did it become an argument? Or maybe it is and it wasn't brought to my attention. Thought I answered your questions well enough there. I go further and because it's more than what you wanted, it's straw man?

Did you check up on Lux's year?

What would have to happen for you to gladly watch some Muncy at 2B? Him doubling? :D

.250 hitters with great power is not bad.

Entering this past season, yes that is where he was at after a really rough 2017. I would be shocked entering next season if he is not a 55 and the clubs #2 after Verdugo as reports on him are incredibly high. The only real knock on him is that he is probably not a SS anymore as his throws from there are rough, but he does everything else well enough that he COULD stay at the position. By many accounts though, he has a really good shot of being a star level 2B. Keith Law (and he is a tough nut to crack) says he's an All Star at SS in his opinion, so take that for what it is worth. Still he was fantastic even after the move to AA and was said to be one of the team leaders in their run to the championship. Not saying that he is the second coming, but many of the things that I have read about him are that we are going to be really happy that the club held on to him.

I would not be shocked if Kapler is back with the org after this season. Watching the Phillies tonight and that team has totally quit on him. Dude is probably not cut out to be a coach.

Their players aren't that good. They way overachieved the majority of the year.

"We broke the story ... LAPD got video footage of the suspects breaking into Puig's home after one of them kicked the front door open"

Not sure how you make this kind of money and have a front door that can be kicked open. I guess the cops are "stepping it up", how about Puig skips the next blinged out jesus piece or $12k pair of limited jordans and gets some security of his own

Something's gotta give before he becomes the next Sean Taylor. And wasn't he living elsewhere before this? IIRC, he sold a home once..was that one broken into as well? Is crime just following him?

And now this address is out there, as is his reputation as an easy target. I don't get what he's doing. If I were him I'd be living at the top of a fortress style luxury building downtown.

55 grade to start next season - of course we hope for 60 by mid-season. Get Lux up around where Verdugo was in consensus ranking at the start of 2017, ranked between 50-75 in MiLB and then down into the 30's by September..maybe the best case scenario if he keeps making big strides. Just blow completely past Calhoun even though Calhoun had a lengthy background of mashing ( and trash defense).

Lux probably won't be reaching Belli-level before graduating, but who cares? If he gives LAD another young, middle IF star we won't give a damn. Imagine having Machado, a healthy Seager and Lux playing like a star. Throw in Belli at 1B and you're just set in the IF for a long time

Oh you know it's definitely out there that he's the celeb that's an easy target. Some of the guys he thinks are his friends, are not. Gotta keep your lawn cut low..gotta be able to see the snakes.

And you know he's gonna be at plenty of Lakers' games this year..guys are gonna see him courtside on TV and know they have an opening. Smh Hopefully, the increased copper effort is long term

You have the entire off-season to hone his skills but I get the hesitation.

Puig probably has to pay off the cartel still by organizing 'thefts' from his home.

    I disagree.

With Ohtani his injury hasn't affected his hitting which second only to Trout and Simmons on the Angels lineup. I'd expect that his ability to DH while healing from TJ might have been considered as well.

It doesn't matter as it calls for speculation now in any case. He'll be back soon enough.

It's like they just figured out how much they value Ohtani as a pitcher..a team severely limited on the pitching side as a whole. Scioscia needs to take the opp this offseason to GTFO. Trout is outta there after 2020 anyway

    Not fully disagreeing but...
    a) Scioscia will never leave unless until he's personally invited to helm the Dodgers. Until his dying day he feeds his ego by being the cross town rival. LOL at the folly except.. he has a more recent ring than we do.
    b) Trout might stay an Angel merely because of Scioscia, you know how long term first relationships go. Trout and Scioscia are far tighter than Arte and anyone. I'd love Trout, I don't care where he's playing on the field if he was a Dodger.. but that remains a pipedream for now.

    Indeed. Idiots abound.
