Wouldn’t it be funny if Mookie still went back yo Boston after this year and we still don’t win a ring?

I read that thread and he was hinting it being Stripling, definitely not May. Which would still be bad because why the duck would we trade Joc, Stripling, and a spec for Luis fucking Rengifo or whatever his name is

Can't wait to find out that Betts only wanted an extra $100M to continue living in Boston. Lol

We add one reliable postseason bat in Betts and subtract one in Joc. I don't get it.

Guess Taylor is probably gonna get the 1st look @ LF. Wish Toles were available. Whatever, at least we have some fuckin excitement. Now, ship Lux/May off for Lindor/Clevinger. Find Seager a home, too.

If May is involved, the scope of the trade has to be big, right? Pieces to make a run at Lindor, or they’re going to flip Mookie for Trout...

Pollock should definitely be a part of the Lux/May package, see them all off to Cleveland for Lindor/Clevinger. Maybe even throw in a year's worth of Pollock's salary.

Then try to package Kenley along with Seager. Cincy seems stupid enough to go for that. Roomba this shit

And I think we do nothing now, go into the season with this team that should win 95+ games, and then see how Price, Wood and the young guys look. We still have so many assets to move if we need to add a starter or a closer at the deadline.

Yeah he came back around and admitted it wasn't May, but I was in bed by then. Rosenthal just said it is either Gonsolin or Stripling from what he hears.

Now we're left wondering who the "big league starter" going to the Angels is (Stripling?) and what "prospect" is coming back with Rengifo.

On 2nd thought - maybe " Dugie " will now step into the role that Ellsbury's vacated

Should wait and find out where Seager ends up 1st

The Angels just have no depth in their minors and if none of their top prospects are coming back, that is a bit frustrating. After kind of sitting back and thinking everything over, I had to remind myself that this FO has done a fantastic job finding talent within other teams systems that they may have missed or undervalued. So I am hoping that is the case here. At the same time Adams was not mentioned as an Angels top prospect not coming back so I am holding out hope for him.

Literally said about a month ago - that Price would be the reason that the Dodgers miss out on Betts and how it'd be a shame.

Of course, for superstition's sake - Seager is now going to be the reason that the Dodgers miss out on Lindor. :D

It will be interesting if the Indians and Dodgers DO circle back around now. Not only did the Dodgers acquire a star by not impacting their farm whatsoever, they made the front runner in the AL Central that much stronger AND they helped one of the likely Wild Card combatants as well. There is some belief that the Dodgers are setting themselves up for another play, but at the same time they may be doing what they can to get under the tax now by enough that they can make moves around the trade deadline. I think the big deals are done, now we are going to see some cost cutting measures with guys like Strip and Hernandez since the club may feel that they have their replacements in the pipeline.

Look, you're the shit, @rube ... but I'm not that into coprophagy. Well ... not anymore, anyway.

What I'm saying is Black kids want to play other sports, and not baseball. Talk to teenagers, brother, especially Black ones.

And nobody gives a damn that Anglos are underepped in hoops, or that Mexicans are about 0.2% of the NHL.

It isn't about picking through scat. Sometimes, kids play what they want to play.

Want to know the sad part? Ask a Black teenager who Jackie Robinson was. If you get 20% food answers, I'll buy you a steak. Want a baked potato with that? Ask the same kid why MLK is important. I usually get "because he has a holiday named for him" or 'because he was Black!' Travesty.
