Possibly both. Regarding 'politics aside' ... I agree. I also do understand why people who've been fucked over politically by either side might take joy at the demise of their 'oppressor'. Take Bin Laden. When Seal Team 6 took him out, many cheered it exuberantly. I figured he got his come uppance. That's enough. Me cheering it makes me a ghoul. When I told friends who did cheer it that I thought it was wrong, I was labeled woke. Fuckin hilarious, right? The guy who ran my niece down like a dog in 2020 - he was released from prison last year. The attorney tells me he has last stage, terminal cancer. He will be dead soon. I won't drink to him when he dies; he's a piece of shit. But I won't smile or pump my fist either. That won't bring my Kelly back. And that's not me being human. That's not even Catholic - its just practical. Biden hurt many people. I imagine many of them will tip a glass to his death - as many will when Trump dies. You're right - where's the humanity? Probably somewhere in the mud of our society's downfall. And this is the downfall, brother. It's already started.
Not celebrating his diagnosis but no way I believe it just suddenly happened either Right after the hur report audio? Gmafb The biden family are lifelong grifters of the American public. Sorry if I don't care not sorry
The one I really hold in contempt is the so-called Dr Jill. Chief enabler of that ruse of a presidency.
nothing to see here definitely not a middle aged man groping a teenager and likely sending her into some type of perverse stockholm syndrome
John Taylor of duran duran just sold his home in LA pretty amazing property https://homesofcelebs.com/john-tayl...p_cnVzbepyy8xFSfeQ_aem_0U8JEQ_tNfwj4IZ8duEbzQ
incredible footage of an entire town disappearing under a glacier collapse in Switzerland apparently they knew it was coming so maybe no lives lost? of course its climate change/global warming/Trumps fault https://x.com/konstructivizm/status/1928049682430971986
maybe he has stock in Ikea anywhoo, what do we say to poor white folks who live in hurricane alley that always want to rebuild after getting wiped out? move out of hurricane alley if you live in a valley carved out by glaciers... well eventually those glaciers are going to reclaim their valley back and kick you out for being an immigrant living in places humans dont belong
gf's family is going to be moving from LA to Virginia in July and they're trying to figure out whether or not to sell off and leave everything (my take) or find a way to get it there w a moving or shipping company i was thinking of buying them a trailer they could sell and pay me back but there's inherent danger in a cross country trek w 3 attractive young females looking for any suggestions knowing that @F!nski and @irish recently packed up and hit the road not much furniture, if any, but clothes and other stuff...toys mostly
we chose to drive because of three pets had a moving company take all the heavy stuff and meet us there thought about getting a trailer and doing it ourselves, but it would have been a lot of work tbh if we had to do it over again, we’d probably do the same thing that said, we only went about 900 miles… across the country is a whole other deal
You asked. This is gonna be a long one... Movers were pricey as was the option to rent our own truck and drive it. Nope. Cost - close to $8K cheap. Most quotes were $10-12K In May 2021 from Anaheim to Bardstow ... 2100 miles ... if we opted to rent long UHaul trucks, between rental fees, insurance. and gas ... straight through, it's nearly 30 hours with the stops. If we rent our own & move ourselves ... we'd need two big trucks for that. All in, that's wife driving one with two littles on board, and me in the other with two more. Meanwhile, our cars are back in SoCal. We'd have to sell/buy ... old/new, or fly back & drive them back and ... oh, Fuck that. Plus, renting a truck yourself and leaving SoCal one way cost triple what going to SoCal cost. If we'd been moving TO Anaheim... every company would waive the mileage just to get trucks back to the area. That's how many people were leaving then (still). Cost? Approximately 5K all in. And both cars would be in SoCal. Instead, we drove with all the kids in one car with wife driving, me solo with personal items in the other. We took our time & made a Griswold trip of it, over 8 days. Stayed in Hampton Inns & almost got caught in a Kansas tornado. Kids were eecstatic. All the hotels had pools & continental breakfast... they thought they were Kennedys. A month out, we had loaded all our importances into two large & one small POD storage container. They held it in a guarded facility until we found our place in KY. It meant we slept on air mattresses & lived in an empty house in OC until it closed & my school year ended. But it was also a blast. Cost to store, drive, & drop every stick of furniture & big items we owned all that distance? Gas & accommodations all totaled...$4500. Small price break but we've got our cars, kids got a vacation, and the kids stopped & ate & slept in eleven states in that span. Anyway .... the big move is about money & circumstance. We had four kids all under 7 years old. No flying. No trucks. No bullshit. Just the road. It was worth it. I hope you know, @LAdiablo ... if they stop here they'll get hospitality. I-70 is boring but a simple drive. Once you hit Missouri. It gets fun. And they should PODS or PACK RAT container ship & drive themselves the 3K journey. Stay off I-10 & I-40. I-70, 80, & 90 are safe, boring, & efficient ways to make the trip and save some money. And after they leave the west, paying $3.19 a gallon for gas will give them some peace, too.
thanks i'm pretty sure they are going to drive it anyway for the adventure and had heard i70 over 40 but kansas is boring af going to check into a pod and think they might be able to get everything in one large
PackRat used to underprice PODS considerably but they make it up on extra fees and mileage charges. They also can put you on a wait list so if you want it delivered in a given week, you need to pay up front or they can bump you weeks or even months. Travel costs and regulations have gotten crazy since Doh Biden took the reins.
