the issue there is that the "leaders" in CA know damn well the money slows or stops w any "solution" that actually works. Poland could rise up and offer to take all homeless addicts and the liberals here would fight to stop it because it infringes on their rights. more like the rights of political thieves to maintain the status quo. bottom line is there is no serious attempt at solving the problem. have to admit that first.

so i went in to meet my new DR. on medicare. first of all she's freaking HOT. i just randomly picked a name and figured i'd go w a female since the males available were habibs and patels. so after the initial shock i realize this check up is going to be different. not sure if it's a CA thing now (probably) but there is a questionnaire form first that's directed at feelings of suicide and failure as a father along w questions about bills and personal stuff. ok this is different. meet the nurse and she goes for the blood pressure of course but then leans into a cognitive slant telling me to remember these 3 words banana, sunrise and chair. yeah ok. its 7am but i'm in what else have you got? now the hot DR comes in and i ask her straight out is this new or did they always do this test stuff when people turn 64? 65. you're 65 mr. yes of course fuck i'm old who cares God damn it! oh well cruise through check up and schedule some PT and maybe a hand surgery. Nurse comes back and i'm waiting but no ask on those words so i wait until we're out in front of the other nurses and ask "where you going to ask me the words?" "oh i asked you already" no you didn't and maybe you need to be tested! at least ended it on a laugh. but for real its pretty weird and unexpected. apparently it is new but reminded me of this. oh and this is my DR. now
