Wow. I thought the same thing. Who's a bigger loser - Girardi, if Philly wins it all or Roberts, for his fat mouth spring declaration of a WS championship?
So ... I've been waiting for this week in the NFL. I am betting 10 games this season and only ten. And today is one of those ten, and only the second of the season ... Today, I've got $100 (I know, it's measly ... but it's still money) on the Chiefs -1 over the Niners.
And yes .... this is part two of my first bet ... Chargers lost 27-24 but covered the five points. I like the Chiefs tonight by ten at least.
It's still a bitch but I'll take it ... Chiefs 14-13. @BigDaddyKaine is wiser than me regarding the stock market, but my goal is 80% winners this season. Here's to successful guesstimations.
Looks like A. Donald and the boys wer etoo focused on canceling Kanye to prepare for the fkags. lol Rams are a joke.
I looked hard at that 42 game total on the match up. I've no allegiance to that team anymore but I didn't like the side bet but I loved it going over. Should've bet that one. The games are pretty boring so far. I've watched five and four were snoozers. I hope the Colts-Pats & Chargers-Falcons show up because those two games are begging to be bet on.
sitting in a gastropub and caught some of the Laker game tonight Westbrook is far from the biggest problem this team has
If anyone cares ... My 3rd and 4th bets of the NFL year are both today. I'm less confident on one than the other ... but anyway. Transparency being the key ... Packers over Lions by double digits, covering the 3 1/2 pts. Indy covering the 5 pts over the Pats That Indy game is weird. Before they fired the OC, I liked NE beating them by double digits. But Belichek hasn't got an OLine to protect Mac Jones so I think this game stays close. So. Best of luck if you're betting.
Both of those bets scare the shit out of me. Packers fucking stink and I would not be shocked at all to see the Lions get their 2nd win this year Packers suck so bad Indy fucking stinks too - they just benched their 40MM quarterback they just traded for 7 weeks into the season, fired their OC (should be the HC & GM), and traded their best or 2nd best weapon on offense to the Bills that said, I am an absolute fool when it comes to sports so what the fuck do I know nothing hope your bets hit today
You never know. I set small goals at the start. Ten $100 bets in the regular season. I'm up $200 so I'm not in danger even if I flatten out today. The two weeks prior to Thanksgiving were always considered the gold standard in NFL betting. If you could handicap underdogs or totals in those weeks, you might have a future in the business. But that was years ago .... Gambling is legit now. The numbers are off. I studied charts to try to relearn over summer. I never saw so many five point spreads before. Very weird. My late buddy Robert made a living of it. In 30 years he earned 200k a year just in NFL bets. Minimum wager was 10K and he specialized in 3 and 4 game parleys. But he dropped dead at 51 of a massive heart attack because he lived on the margins. He was always worried about the next risk. You know that book/movie, Wolf of Wall Street? That was about 90% his life story. Anyway ... Just trying to make some scratch for a couple nice things for the wife & kids at Christmas. We'll see how it goes.
I used to be better at NCAA too. But I've been charting my picks (no bets, just tracking potential bets) since 2021, and I'm at 45% over 20 games. That's nowhere near where you need to be. I need to be at 70% to consider myself in a safe zone. And never play double down to catch up. That's chasing it. That's a loser's play. That's the suicide path. I stick to same value wagers. On that note .... when LSU ran that TD in in OT, two types of gamblers qualified for suicide yesterday. The first kind already lost because LSU had the 13.5 pts covered by default in that game once it went to overtime. But the total was still under if LSU just failed to score. That second gambler type had another parley with the under ... and that score killed them again. College is ruthless on shit like that. I wish I didn't remember games like that. But I had ND minus 1 vs Colorado when Rocket Ismael ran back a kick to cover in that 1991 Orange Bowl. But then ... flag on the play. Fuck me.
