once upon a time i was hired at naked juice to be the jr to admin who wanted to retire and needed a cheap replacement
but the offer was rescinded when someone upstairs got wind that i did not have the required certificates
the old man was kinda embarrassed as they pretty much undermined his decision to hire me
he had worked for them since the founding of the company but the new HR lady overruled his wisdom

the point of the story... couple weeks later there was a huge el nino storm and the roof caved in and their entire corporate office was destroyed and the company took a huge hit and got purchased by pepsico and the old admin ended up retiring early

these cows were my neighbors up on the mountain where i used to live
well sometimes of the year when their boss would drive them in the hills
he is an old irish white guy in his 70s now like some of you
but he still driving his cattle the ancient way up and down all the hills
and his son Patrick is a world class cowboy playing the 8 seconds game

i left the mountain 3 and half years ago into the suburbs and now im moving again even deeper into the city

I have spent my entire life not eating margarine and all those other fake shit they shoved down our throat as healthy when i was growing up.
Something is wrong with me that I cannot uptake this stuff as well as most people.
You know how many times i got in trouble in the 80s for telling adults that their Social Security was not a personal savings account and that the money they were putting in was not being saved but given away to the older people currently retiring.
Every single person i would tell this to would react in a variety of ways from calling me a dumb know nothing kid to anger at blaspheming the holy United States government.
I had no idea i was doing something bad.
So when people would react hostile to me I was confused.
I was already used to that when i was 11.
Because when i was 9 mom got me the World Book Encyclopedia.
And all the other sets of books that came with it.
The sales people got my mom for like 4k in books. She was paying that for years.
But she didnt have to buy me birthday presents for the rest of her life.
Just with those books and my trusty bible I already had everything I needed for my lifelong career.
